    Splash!

BT, I'd have to say that in all my years on these forums, that is the nicest pic I have seen, bar none! Good work mate.
  2. Nice! Is the black one an UPO and the Orange a Silix version?
  3. Not sure about the Speedy, but apparently the UPO pins are accurate. Basically a straight pin with a sleeve through the middle link.
  4. I work in the downtown core in Toronto, Canada. Its a mecca for watch spotting, and rarely can I take a short walk without seeing something interesting. Lots of Rolex, Breits, and a lot of Pams lately. Also a lot of ADs within walking distance of my office, and I spend many a lunch hour visiting them. BTW, the old adage goes "Those who can, work in Toronto. Those who can't, move to Ottawa".
  5. @chrgod - Very nice piece mate! I've never seen that model before. Wear it well.
  6. Mini Fiddy Review I'm not one who generally like "fantasy" watches, but when this "Mini Fiddy" was offered to me as a trade I couldn't refuse. Why you ask? For me this watch incorporates everything Panerai that my 192 Tantalium lacks. Firstly, I love the fiddy case, but the 47mm version would be just to big for my puny wrist. Secondly, I have always been fascinated by the "sandwich dial". And thirdly, I really wanted a display back pam, as I love the decorated movements. I really know very little about the fiddy or the mini fiddy. I do know enough however, to realize that the name is a little misleading. Aside from the smaller 44mm profile, the dial is quite different. Instead of "Luminor Panerai", the mini is labeled "Radiomir Panerai". There is also no "1950" designation on the bottom half of the dial. The watch itself is gorgeous, in fact I've already had an offer to buy it from one of the guys at work. The dial is large, clean and simple. The domed (mineral) crystal is a beautiful touch. I simply love the gold hands, as the blue ones on my 192 are difficult to read. The CG is nice and tight, and the crown seems nice and thick. The display back is probably the most fascinating part of the watch, and it left several of my work mates in total awe. The Asian movement is nicely decorated, although probably a pretty shabby example, compared to some that I've seen. There's no swan necks or daggers on this one, yet its still pretty to look at. My only complaints about this one are the badly "kerned" PANERAI on the dial, and a fair bit of springiness from the crown when winding. But for a watch that Paul (wo-mart) has listed for $110, you can't go wrong. This one is definitely going to get its share of wrist time!
  7. The PO Lite was a project commissioned by Andrew and Josh. I believe Andrew told me the original run was 100 pieces, and then a second run was done. My guess is they have simply exhausted their inventory, and demand no longer warrants production. I hope that more watches will be done like this. The SFSO was good, but the lack of AR or sapphire didn't put it in the same category as the UPO Lite.
  8. Wearing the Navi today, whilst anxiously awaiting something new...
  9. I happen to have a couple of perfect examples of what I will call the "Old Factory PO Lite". If anyone wants to trade for a common eta version...
  10. BT, nice to see that you've got a home for all your marvelous writings. Congrats!
  11. The olympic chrono and black smp chrono are the only new Omegas I can recall?
  12. Man that looks awesome. I really like the blue on blue combination on Breits!
  13. Sweet watches Subzero. I need a brown strap and I'm torn between a new gen at $140 or the rep at $40 + shipping.
  14. Tuesday morning, and its a Rolex day! Thanks to Two Tone!
  15. Buy an Ultimate Planet Ocean Lite or and Asian SFSO. Insanely cheap and almost always waterproof!
  16. vbarrett, I'm gonna start having dreams about that hand if you keep posting pics like these
  17. Its a gen strap. You can get them at some Breitling ADs for less than $150. Keep you eyes peeled in the "Members" strap section, as the show up there from time to time for good prices. I got mine from ebay, but with the quality of the new rep straps its virtually impossible to tell the gen from fake anymore. You could also buy the rep version from any of the dealers here!
  18. I love these kinds of threads! and the recently traded 42mm
  19. C'mon hk, that was out of line. The point of these sites are to prevent people from being taken. It would have been irresponsible for The Zigmeister not to come forward with these images.
