  1. Very nice looking movement, congrats!
  2. I've got this 42mm PO that has become my "water watch". Its withstood many baths, showers, hot tubbings, swims, with never a hint of leakage. It's not the most accurate of reps, but its got a 2824 inside and has been regulated. I'm sure my UPO would work well, but why bother. One swimming watch is really all I need!
  3. This is the new style. The previous model had a different bezel and caseback.
  4. Love my PO on leather (the gen strap is similar in look but is actually rubber).
  5. Hey DD, awesome news. I guess I should have mentioned that you check the threads once the crown was removed Unfortunately, mine was in fact stripped, bit glad to hear yours was repairable. Feels good to do stuff yourself, doesn't it!
  6. Just go to ANY watch shop. Ask for 2- 22mm x 1.8mm springbars. I have never experienced any difficulty getting these anywhere that I have looked!
  7. Just screws off. I usually grab the stem just below the crown with needle nose pliers and twist. Be careful though, if you are shortening the stem, you must not screw up those threads. When shortening the stem, don't be too cavalier. Make your first with room for error. Install it, then take a bit more off. For my first cut, I used the dremel cutting disk. For subsequent alterations I used the cutting disk as a grinder, taking tiny amounts off each time. Also, you may have to shorten the tube slightly (I used a fine file). Hope this helps! If done properly, the results will be perfect. Below are my two POs, one stripped and shortened, and the other not!
  8. I really believe the same can be said of pretty much all Breits.
  9. Btw, I haven't seen the watches, but maybe this guy isn't being as honest as he appears. He says he paid $1.80 each for these, but is that true? What if he walks over the border with 8 MBWs? Obviously thats a different story. I think there is probably more to this story than this guy is letting on!
  10. Personally I would have put the cash towards a gen leather strap. The blue Breit is a beauty. I am kind of opposed to the use of shark or croc skin, so I may be a bit biased though.

    Moonwatch

Ooops sorry, this was the third moonwatch thread I've read today. That should have been posted here... http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23756

    Moonwatch

You snooze you lose! Just missed one mate.... http://www.rwg.cc/members/Old-style-Moonwa...ent-t25635.html
  13. Its amazing how good that new strap makes it look. The only difference I can see is that the first stitch is a little bit farther from the end than on my gen. I really have a hard time telling the difference though.
  14. Beautiful! Maybe you could give us some details on the watch? Is that one of the new rep straps, or gen? Where did the watch come from?
  15. TeeJay, you still have not developed an eye for detail yet. The watch you posted has the incorrect bracelet (flat not curved), incorrect HE valve placement, etched buckle, likely mineral glass with lousy rehaut depth. I would guess that that it has plastic movement holder and no antimagnetic cover either. The smaller one is 40mm, not 42 as it should be. I could go on, but you get the point. Go for the ultimate lite if you want to save some coin!
  16. Zig, awesome post. I'm an open minded guy, willing to listen to both sides and make an informed decision. (thats why I tried to bait you into doing this comparison). Your results speak for themselves.
  17. Lets hear from a few more Canadians who want to join.
  18. Come on guys, he's got a girlfriend . Just because he wears pink doesn't mean he's gay...... not that there's anything wrong with that!
  19. I believe the subdials are actually a light silver, but because of the circular pattern finish, they look almost white. The subdials on the gen are not quite as recessed as those on the rep. Another flaw on the SS is that the rep uses the same crystal as the regular navi, but the gen has a slightly domed crystal.
  20. Great pics and great watches. I suggest you take a look at the new Rep Navi straps. 100% better than the one you have on there now!
