I've always said that its very important to post pics of your watches as you get them. Some guys feel that since everybody and their brother has posted an Evo pic, then why bother to post another. These watches are constantly evolving, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse (Fighters Edition), and posts like this bring really good information to the table. Thanks again Tazz!

Having tried the gen out, what I can say is that the minute totalizer doesn't click over at 60 seconds like on the 7750, its a gradual turn. From what I cam make out, the rotor is shaped completely differently than the gen. Also, the date window edges are a lot deeper on the gen as well, to mask the recessed datewheel. The side shots on Kings site make the case look very fat, and I dont recall noticing that on the gen, but I could be wrong. All in all its a very nice piece though, a lot closer than I ever thought they would make this one!

My guess is that the movements are bought in bulk, and they use what the manufacturer puts in them. Of course an ETA style datewheel would be a good start, but this one is obviously built for Breitlings only. This is really a big step forward!

Actually, the datewheel in the heritage is vertical, not horizontal. Besides that the Heritage is ETA 2824 and this is a 7750.

My guess is that someone with the harbormaster had it repaired prior to returning it.

For all you Toronto based Breitling fans, La Swiss at the Eaton Center will be closing for renovations on June 30th. The are currently trying to clear inventory and have marked everything at 40% off. I was in there today trying on the Skyland (nice piece) and picked up the new big catalogue. Just thought I'd pass this information on

And btw, the heritage uses the Breitling Caliber 17 which is really a decorated ETA 2824. Check out how nicely J&A have replicated this movement!

Great review Lan! I can't wait to get home to view the pics (blocked at work). Let me ask you about the "feel" of the movement. Does it feel the same as your ETAs when winding, adjusting time and date, etc.? Is the rotor quite or does it have that Asian whirl sound? It certainly looks nice!

I always buy my watches with the bracelet and add rubber or leather later. Bracelets are ridiculously expensive to purchase separately. Gen rubber and leather is pricey as well, but nowhere near the cost of the bracelet. Unless you get an outstanding deal on a rubber equipped watch, go with the bracelet!

Contact a dealer. I swear, I hate these inserts so much. They are the weakest part of any watch and show wear very quickly. I looked at my SMP Chrono the other day and there's a tiny chip. I baby the watch and know I've never banged it on anything, but its there nonetheless. I much prefer SS bezels.

Lets get this straight, they did not correct anything. This is a different watch from a different factory. The Silix version still has the same flaws it always did!

Next best thing to getting a new watch is when Lan gets a new watch! Can't wait to read the review brother!
