  1. Welcome aboard Big J! Hope you stay a while
  2. nope... Hardly ever use laptop to surf fora. Just Tapatalk iPhone
  3. Yes the RWI format sux rox but fortunately I rarely use it because I use the Tapatalk app on my iPhone and iPad to browse the fora.
  4. For me, 'us' is all the rep brothers across the fora but this would be the friendliest bunch. I think there is more activity/members on RG and RWI which makes it easier to generate interest in local get togethers.
  5. They just had a get together over at RWI the summer. It was in Southern California. Repgeek has them too. I think they had one in New York area and Chicago. Also Singapore iirc
  6. I'm not sure but you can try emailing Andrew at Trusty but be prepared for his short responses. He probably prefers succinct question too. Here's a link on the geek with over a thousand posts on the subject you see. http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=178040
  7. Welcome to RWG! Not sure of those models as I don't use Trusty. Links would help us/me a lot. If it's a non ceramic 42mm you're after, the best is the PO v5 model. Not sure of the ceramic bezel models but I hear they fade color quickly. Cheers
  8. Says the guy who spent weeks making a hidden (from google) Panerai Rep site
  9. Whether it fits or not you should check out the Skinny a Wrist Club thread and add a few wristies http://www.rwgforum.net/index.php?/topic/150900-Skinny-Wrist-Club-thread
  10. Alo Lyon mon fracaphone. Welcome aboard! My wife got used to my quirky hobbies after my few years of serious flashlight collecting. I had a get together at my house and people came from all over northern and central California! Had about 40 people and about $50k+ dollars in flashlights sitting on every available surface in the living room dining room area. Wifey said she was going to go out with the girlfriends while I had my little friends over to play with our toys. Funniest thing was when she dropped by with the girlfriends to find cars lined down the street and a Lambourghini Mercialago parked in our driveway next to the Turbo Porsche. Their jaws dropped when they walked in the house. We were all having a blast checking out the latest and greatest custom modified and designed flashlights! LOL The looks on their faces was priceless. So anyway, the watches are pretty easily accepted if they can accept freak thousand dollar+ flashlights. She even sneaks into my watch box to snag a watch when she has a big meeting at work now. LOL she wore my prized PAM 42mm today!! Sheesh! Take heart my friend. We're complicated cromagnons
  11. I'll be traveling through the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and was hoping to find some more gens to try like AP or whatever. Any recommendations?
  12. The lions share of the comments here is what makes this a great friendly community. I dislike the attacks on newbs who ask stupid questions in other forums. Even though I cringe when I read newb posts I just try to help out or move on. What I also dislike is takers. Newbs who just come to get lots of info and never contribute anything (like useful dialogue, meaningful questions, pics wherever of value to others) to the community. I still don't beat on them, I just ignore them. I will engage bullies though. Anyway, post count... Can't see it in Tapatalk. Post content reveals post count to some extent. I only check if I'm doing a transaction and then will read thru posts of low post-count peeps to get an idea of their character to determine if I'll do business with them. I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is my favorite rep forum.
  13. Rob Dyrdek wears one. You can see it on his show Rediculousness. That speaks for itself.
  14. Oh yeah. The Tread2 is nice. Under $10k and 44mm but no seconds belt
  15. Upon reading more it's pretty hard and time consuming to mod this model. Here are a couple of screenshots of the 3714 gen. $7900 for gen is doable. possibly used even lower.
  16. Thanks for the details guys. It was a bit of a whim question. I'm looking for a more dressy watch that I would like to own and that one seems like a top choice for me. The seconds at six is a reliability problem. My understanding is that the rep movement, with the senconds subdial a the six o'clock position, is prone to breaking.
  17. Since there are still issues with seconds at six movements, is it possible to find/buy the seconds at six version of the IWC Portuguese gen movement somewhere and swap it with the rep?
  18. The most unusual watch I've seen. What do you guys think of it? $25k for this model. YouTube
  19. Rotating my Omega PO v5 today with matching orange sneakers.
