  1. Yes Mr. A, very correct. It's for the red dial one for sure. I am not sure if the other model use the one with red accent or the all black.grey one. I sold a used one recently (AP GP Strap) because I think the rubber is good enough. Turns out the re rubber is too big for me. I am looking for a GP strap again now. I think the price in sg is way cheaper. I am being quoted USD 550 for a new AP GP Strap with red accent here. Care to add, Mr. A? Thanks
  2. http://www.paul-hewitt.com/ The white and blue that looks amazing on a sub: http://www.paul-hewitt.com/Watches/Nato-Straps-20-mm/PAUL-HEWITT-Nato-Strap-Watchstrap-20-mm-Blue-White::291.html
  3. Somebody else asked about the same thing in RG or RWI, if I am not mistaken. Somebody mentioned Paul Hewitt. Do check it out. He has the white blue strap that you are looking for. In fact, I saw someone wearing it on his sub c a few weeks ago. And...... I can't resist. So I bought a few natos from paul hewitt. I can post some pictures when I received it. But it would be in a few weeks.
  4. My friend owns a gen SS, I asked him to bring it during lunch. Sadly, I didn't get enough time to do a proper comparison but here's a few shots for your consideration. I will post more pics in a few days when I meet him again. Gen (date 23, AP GP Strap); Rep (date 24, Reb Rubber) Quick observation: -The dial on the gen has creamy hue to it. The rep is too white/silver -The subdial is darker (more black) than then rep -The crystal is clearer on the gen. Without comparison side by side, I thought that the rep crystal is super clear already. But after seeing the gen, if you could do a single AR, it will make the dial pops more. -The AP logo is thicker on the gen -The tachy ring shape is more curvy on the gen, and the font isn't the same -The caseback is totally different. The engravings are deeper on the gen. And it has black outline while the rep is shallow and no color. That's all for now, folks. I will add more pics later. If you are on the fence of getting this, please don't hesitate. This is an awesome watch. While it isn't exactly the same, on the wrist, even my friend who owns a gen can't tell the difference.
  5. It could be a prototype that worths 10 millions. Ehmm... No.. 10 dollars max
  6. Ryan is a vampire. He's a one man army. But he's very fast. He will reply your email within minutes. Even if you send your email at 1am. PT, on the other hand, takes time to reply emails. But PT is still my go to TD. I haven't had any problems with them so far. But if comm is the main issue. Better go to ryan. He's an AP nuts as well. So he can give you some inputs on what to get.
  7. I am in the same boat. Angus/puretime replied to me yesterday that stock will be available in a few days. I think if you really like the watch, it is better to wait until end of this week for news.
  8. GMT gen Sub rep The insert color on the gmt is spot on to gen. If that's rep, I would like to know whom did the platinum mod

  11. Hi experts, I got an offer to purchase a gen GMT 16750 serial nmber 838XXX? Watch has the no date "oyster perpetual" font And spider dial. Seller asking for USD4900. What is the current ongoing rate for this watch now? I read that this dial considered to be rare produced in 1983 only. Is that the case? Thanks a lot for the help
  12. V3 is not from noob fac. It's a different factory. New one
  13. Question reagarding the movement: If I pull the crown completely out, should the second hand still move? The first one, the second hand still move while the second one, the second hand stops
  14. serial number 2961XXX
  15. The second watch is from 1971. 2.9mil serial number Here are the pics: Comparison Shot: Bevel of first watch: Bevel of second watch: The second one seems to have unpolished case while the first one seems to be rounded already. The insert on the second one is a fat font insert. Who's the winner?
  16. Thanks a lot guys. I do think that most rolex experts reside in this forum. I value your opinions. Certainly clear up my mind on what to do.
  17. The second one has more "character" to it? no?

    1675

I am facing a dilemma. Here is my 1675. The watch is in superb condition. Minor scratches only on the case. Bracelet is almost scratch-less except on the clasp. Dial is almost perfect. No lume on the indices. All of them almost white. Insert looks almost new. Bezel is very tight. Now, to the dilemma. I am offered another 1675. This one has scratches all over the case and bracelet. The indices are yellow/brownish. The insert is slighlty fading. First watch: The second watch: (has only one pic of it) The actual watch actually looks much nicer than this pic. The second watch cost more than the first one. Should I keep the first one or "upgrade" it to the second one?
  19. I have always planned to have a vintage rolex done by donerix. But he was busy with his work so it got postponed a couple of times. Late last year, he informed me that he's not taking order on watch build anymore because he just doesn't have time for it anymore. So my quest for a donerix vintage rolex began. I missed a couple of his watches being sold in M2M sales section. One day (it was valentine's day), while having dinner with my wife, I casually emailed him whether he has any 5513 for sale. And he offered me his own 5513 for sale. I gladly accepted his offer. To be honest, from all my reps, his 5513 is the one got noticed by people a lot. I have a few friends that asked me what watch i am wearing. And countless glance by strangers when I wear it. Without further ado here it is: Spec: MBW (gen bezel construction) with Swiss ETA movement InGod guilt dial with chapter ring genuine crown genuine pearl genuine crystal genuine spring bars Aged case, dial and hands reamed lug holes oiled and aged yuki stretch bracelet faded insert. Pictures: (again, I need to learn to take better picture) One thing that bugs me about this watch is: I only find one picture on the internet of 5513 that has this dial. Supposedly, this is a very rare 5513. From what I have gathered, this should be a 1961-1962 5513. Given the year, the CG should be a PCG/Cornino. Another thing is the hand, some parts of the hand turns to the normal steel color. I am thinking of having it modded to be a PCG. Please let me know what you think. Thanks
  20. Swiss movement one. I think this is the link to the watch: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_103&products_id=562&zenid=2d9193e6dd4b96ad68740e83f6a093fe
  21. Not going to see it. You can't force me to see it. Lol
  22. Just received this watch yesterday. And couldn't take it off my hand. I've been wanting to have a RA piece for quite a while. Base watch is from Andrew. All using stock parts. And some RA magic. The famous 1675 is next.
