According to all the posts on this topic it's as close to gen as you can get. The rubberstraps that i had didn't collect dust apart from the 10 dollar strap i bought from eBay. Carpe Diem Cats

In the beginning my drsd had a T Clarks T39 with the mbw insert and that fitted perfectly. I later changed the insert to a PMWF and the crystal to domed gen tropic also without any problems. Either your crystal doesn't have the right dimensions ( outher diametre )or the mbw bezel dimensions changed during time. Let's wait what the experts have to say Carpe Diem cats

It's all a matter of taste and perfection ( and the amount of money you want to invest ) For the crystal i would go for the gen cause IMO there is a huge difference in clarity between reps and the gen. As for the insert a gen is certainly very nice but a PMWF insert with an Offrei pearl does the trick also. I have both insert in my MBW and i can't tell the difference from a distance of 30 cm. I never had a gen bracelet so i can't give you my opinion on that one. Keep us updated on the progress of your project. Carpe Diem Cats
