Thanks for all the kind words Valerian and By-Tor. The match ended up in a 0-0 but it was fun. Saw some eyes going from the pitch towards my GMT II . The relume makes a big difference but the gen insert is also impressive . I like the blue color on the insert it's much better then the color on the rep inserts. Carpe Diem Cats

Chief i drive a normal 2 liter diesel S80. My girlfriend drives a v50 liter gasoline. That T6 looks like a real beast. Love my diesel it has more then enough power and it drives like a limo. Show us the pics after you bought it. Carpe Diem Cats

Today my BK GMT II returned home after a relume job done by Caruwe ( Finedd on RWI ). The lume looks just like the gen C1 lume. Here are some quick and dirty pics of the excellent lume job. During the weekend i will shoot some more pics. ISO 800 , shutter speed 1/6 sec AV 5,6 ISO800 , shutter speed 1,6 AV 5,6 ISO 800 , shutter speed 0,5 sec AV 5,6 ( with a UV tube ) Thanks for looking Carpe Diem Cats

What do you mean by i can't get the seconds hand to move ??. Does the hours and minute hand move and the second hand doesn't. Or doesn't any hand move ??. I had a problem with my first rep also a PAM which stopped all of a sudden. The problem was that the second hand was touching the dial and that was the reason why the movement stopped. I took it to a rep friendly watch smith who fixed it for a few bucks Good luck. Cats

@ Ronin I have a normal size wrist and the pillows fit perfectly. I'll shoot some pics tomorrow or this weekend how the pillow is mounted on the winder. If the bracelet is small i don't think it will influance the fitting if the pillow. @ Seafoam it's on my wrist at the moment coming home from a excellent lume job done by Caruwe ( Finedd on RWI ) I will shoot some decent lume shot's this evening or this weekend and i'm sure Caruwe will be a busy guy from now onwards. Depends how you ship it. If it's Airmail with T&T the tracking stops when it get's into the States. The parcel is handed over to a different carrier then TNT Post. If it's with International Parcel Plus ( 4 times more expensive ) then you can track it all the way to your doorstep. But sometimes that doesn't work either , don't ask me why . I'm not an expert but having a gen ETA movement doesn't mean that it's properly lubed and regulated. It never hearts to get it done. But if it runs well within reasonable accuracy you could decide to leave it that way. Carpe Diem Cats

Didn't know what to ask for my birthday so i said to my family just bring some nice bottles of wine or some money to buy me a watchwinder. After surfing the web for several weeks i decided to pull the trigger on a flexible and modern looking solution. It's the Beco Boxy Epoxy which can be upgraded to 12 winders. IMO it looks great and it's real quiet. And packed behind the window to store them dust free. You can organize them any way you want ( contacts on the bottom and top ) My question to all the experts out here is I can't recall the advised number of turns per day that the ETA 2836 movements needs . Does anyone have a clue. I can select 672 , 960 or 1248 per day and i have chosen to have the turn clockwise first and the counterclockwise Thanks for looking Carpe Diem Cats

Hi black dice, There is certainly a possibility to built a nice 1680 for 600-700 ( dollars or euro's ) If you can find a MBW add a gen crown and tube , good after market crystal , nice insert and do some case work you should be able to stay under the 600 euro marker. It's the same light tent as i occasionally use for shooting pics. The tent is OK , needs some skill to get it back in the bag again after usage. Most important part is the lighting . If you are going to use LED lights make sure you set the white balance correctly. For setting the white balance i use a Expo disc. Shoot a picture straight into the light source with the Expo disc mounted to the lens and choose the white balance manually. Carpe Diem Cats
