Not overly impressed so far. There is a new 3255 movement in the updated Day Date, which I imagine will eventually lead to a 3235(?) going into future Submariners. But I think the new YM is horrid with that Bamford/TitianBlack/Project X "stealth" bezel insert: There's a couple of other newer models apparently (rumored Coke SS GMT and a couple others) but havent seen any concrete news yet.

Looks like a 703/704. I guessing it's for a BNLR? Did you damage the crown which is why you want to replace it? If so how if you just screwed up the keyless? Anyhow, not enough information.

I don't care what anyone says, one of my favorite bracelets to wear is my rep ST sub bracelet. The finish is perfect and fits perfectly with gen 580 endlinks. Sure it's not period-correct and has solid mid links, but it also doesn't have the clangy chatter of hollow links. It's smooth as butter. The sides are polished, but can be easily satinized. Yes, I even like the clasp. It snaps closed very smoothly and finished extremely well. It's sterile but I don't care. I used to have a gen 93150 clasp but sold it recently. The best part is, I can bang it up on desks and door [censored]s without worrying. For everyday wear it's perfect (for me). Rather mark up a cheap rep than a $1500 gen 7206. really have no idea.. you have to measure the peg to peg distance on the dial (I dont have a gen 15xx dial in front of me) and compare to the datewheel you want to use.. but on second thought, i now think you should be ok with the datewheel clearance... the 15xx dials feet are pretty close to the edge so there should be room, but it will be a close call... worst case is you might have to slightly trim the outer edge of the DW.. Anyways, thats a secondary issue compared to finding the right movement to drill

serifs on date wheel, starburst finish on bezel, triangle on GMT hand... etc.. very nice pick up. Yeah, seems the like post-1655 EXP II's are undervalued relative to the other sport models of that era.

Yes, my cases travel along 3 axiis to get the right geometry. A CNC could produce similar angles, but the finish would have to be hand done - which would then remove the crispness of the edges. Case sides however still need to be rouged on a wheel.

Here's an example of why there are no bevels (chamfers) on modern Rolexes: This is a macro of a Tudor BB. Note how the bevel varys from thick to thin, back to thick. The top edge sharpness is ok, but the side edge has been rounded over. This is not very well done if you ask me. The mid-case was clearly hand-held when it was cut and then the sides were finish-polished later. Frankly, this case should have been rejected.

However, I am not certain a 2824 datewheel is inside of a cal 15xx gen dial feet.. I doubt it. you might have to have a static date wheel/window.

That drill work is a bit ghetto but It should just work. The problem is the clearing the balance wheel @6 o'clock. There's not much room for error there. Best to mark the main plate with the balance wheel on and the drill the hole as close to that as possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cutting the feet of a $1500 dial so that you can Velcro it to a $100 movement that's plopped into a $200 rep case is not smart. Jut buy a few ETA clones that could work for a cal 15xx and drill away with a 1.2-1.3mm bit. Cutting feet on your gen dial is not an option Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

gen 1655 dial will not fit a 3135.. he will need a gen 1575 as no rep that I am aware of exists for that caliber
