  4. For those of you that know me, you know I'm not a huge fan of the current version of the TC cases. But with a little work, they are acceptable for an early 16610 or 16800 build. But the challenge is getting the lugholes drilled properly. I've seen some very bad efforts at lughole drilling in a non-lughole case and as such, (next to bevels) is one of the tougher mods to do right. Here's an example of a case I recently worked on for an early 16610 build. Right after drilling: Even at high speed, burrs will inevitably build up around the hole. After a light grinding and repolishing. Along with modest bevel action: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah.. 703 tube is correct for both the 703 and 704 crowns
  6. bracelet restoration looks terrific.. i think I see some polishing compound, so might want to give it a warm bath in an ultrasonic if you have one.

  15. interesting... I actually find the phong and MQ bezels a hair too wide for gen inserts.. so my guess is that the OD of the Yuki's are slightly wide... if you have a caliper, measure the OD.. It should be around 36.55mm. If its 37.00+, then it will require some trimming. Alternatively, you could slighlty bend the inside of the insert higher, so that the insert becomes more "conical". As a result, the OD will become slightly narrower and might fit then. If that doesnt work, fall back to Option A and trim it slightly... you might have to trim both the OD as well as the bottom to top thickness but sliding it flat on some 800-1200 grit paper. Rather you mod the rep insert than one of your bezels.
  16. definitely not a MK3 (although it depends on who you talk to)... i would call it a mid-font or thin font.
  17. only apply pressure to the outside of the insert.. are you using a 6538 MQ bezel with the big gonzo?

  22. Key is good lighting and most importantly, hold the iphone very very still. I have an Olloclip too, but I took this with my iPhones be 6+ and my trusty 10x held tight against the case. An elastic band works too. Image is unedited, uncropped. Handheld. It would be clearer if I had a tripod for sure. Not perfect, but for those looking to have some macro fun, it's a cheap cost of entry. Zooming in about 30-40% is ideal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
