  1. Not sure who (factory) made your particular rep, but its a rep of a 16710 with a "coke" insert
  2. 16710
  3. Nice work with the RX1!. Was a fill flash involved?
  4. I did not know that there was a rep of the cerachrom pepsi til now.
  5. Congrats on a great bargain. I personally would have kept the original dial/hands as is. I would not get the minute hand repaired. If I were you, I would leave the hands/dial in a drawer as they are, and only when/if you decided you want to put them back on and cannot live with a slightly damaged minute hand, get it repaired then. No point in doing it now as your thinking might change over the next couple of years... Wear it in good health.
  6. I think the Pearl is excellent . Difficult to judge the sheen via pics, but the fonts still need some work. The inside of the numbers are too square. Most won't notice the square corners, but the insert is about 1-2 steps away from being indistinguishable from gen without a loupe. Definitely a step forward from previous version.
  7. The sheen depends on the angle. It is gloss, but the micro pits give it a satin-like appearance as it catches the light at various angles.
  8. Which model?
  9. On the modern subs, the serial numbers are not between the lugs. My gen no-date sub: The serial is engraved inside the rehaut at the 6 o'clock position.
  10. Interesting. the new insert appears to be much flatter now. Also has more of a satin finish.. However, the inside curves on some of the numbers are still bit too square... Otherwise, excellent effort.
  11. I'm guessing it's a Comezzi case. Lug engravings look very good. But I am by no means a Daytona expert. From the outside engravings on the Caseback, I know it's not a phong.
  12. Great job. I have a huge respect for the design/engineering/fabrication of custom pieces like this. Well done.
  13. If they are good enough for John Mayer, they are good enough for you
  14. Is it April fools?? At first I thought it was a joke, but apparently he's trying to be a real-life Steve Jobs.. so weird.. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1798757
  15. All you are missing is the click spring. Very cheap part and easy to replace. I would not worry.
  16. Yeah yeah. Whatever. Sometimes manually setting the time/date is soo overrated.
  17. When you take better pics this weekend (I don't see how they can be worse , can you take some macros of the triangle, lume markers and the beveled lugs? What was he charging? $1k?
  18. Is the base watch a BP 114060?
  19. I think everyone has a different method, but I always take off the hands at the 3:00 position prior to hack mode and replace in exact same position.
  20. That insert is sooo not correct. I demand you sell it to me!
  21. I guess I'm first. Gen SMP. Awaiting connecting flight at LGA. And no, I will not change the date. I'm lazy (reason why I dislike date watches).
  22. Pics or it didn't happen.
  23. Yup. Contact @misiekped
