  1. Very suspect to me but I may be wrong....
  2. @Cats: I love the photo and the watch! @Dluddy: one of my favourite unworn Omega But I would not sell it. With all the buzz around the GMT mvts these days, I wear the Explorer II today.
  3. Nice surprise for waking up with this By-Tor. A beautyfull picture ...(you must be bored with this same comment over and over again). So, how about: "a great photo of a great watch ByTor" ...(sounds a bit different )... Anyway, thank you for taking the time. The video is stunning as well. I have a love/hate relation with the GMT II. So close to the SD and yet so different. When I wear it, I always want to go back to a SD PS: My 31 is the same as yours where on the gen Explorer II the 3 & the 1 are very close
  4. ...there seems to be more subs out there than I can count ...it's endless JoJo, I have no idea on how you you were able to finish this project and how long it took you to put it toghether but it's a beauty. Great success. Congrats, it looks very nice. Cheers Stephane
  5. Oh god, this will never end. Looks great TMG
  6. Well, the Noob 16610 is going to become some kind of a 16800 daily beater..very beated Isn't that what we're here for ? Congrats Laz. This is so exiting. @all new watches of this thread and their owner: thanks for the photos. I wish this thread never ends
  7. I'll had my NoobMariner here now that it has lugholes
  8. Take your time and make us some real good shots of Coke Thanks BT.
  9. TeeJay as a point here. The original poster "title" was probably miss interpreted. The point is that we all dream of a watchmaker next door that is willing to work on our reps... If I had one, I would be delighted to walk to him and let him work on my reps instead of having them fly all over the globe. This would not stop me to send a watch to Ziggy though. Two different situations in my opinion.
  10. Dear All, I have a GMT II correct hand stack that I bought from RepAustria a while ago. I ruined it completely as I wasn't setting the time properly (the hour hand that flips/jumps is really fragile). So I asked him to write me a little tutorial on how to safely set the time on that movement after he repaired it. Here it is for you to copy/paste. Hope this helps. Cheers Stephane In general it is best to first set the GMT hand by moving the crown out to the second notch, and then adjusting the hour hand by moving the crown to the first notch. Always be sure to turn everything slowly, nice and easy. This may sound complicated, but that way you make sure the movement is not stressed. Set the hour hand only when the movement is at a full hour. Meaning
  11. I was sure you would wear a GMT today By-Tor. But I expected the Coke one... So, let me join your Pepsi with my Coke Cheerio
  12. Wow, you must be very happy now BT. Congrats to you and to Taka for this stunning result
  13. Same here...wondering ...I don't like when a thread is going that way... And, by the way, is a write up from a year ago or a couple of years ago still "a reference"? This place is alive, or at least should be, and is only going to stay alive with new blood.
  14. Bravo Laz. I will say only one thing: your fantastic enthusiasm is RWG daily sunshine. For the rest, you know what I feel
  15. Kruzer is 1000% right saying that 20% of a population is paying for the entire country. Admin is right too about keeping RWG open for non paying members as among new comers some may become the new Pug or Bt or SD4 or ... Ok, for the very first time I have the impression something positive is going to happen. A lot of ideas and suggestions have been done and I have 0 doubt about the fact that Admin and his team are discussing these suggestions deeper. The main points are: 1) Make RWH viable on a long term. 2) Avoid that Admin has to go on his knees to beg for 5$ every month. That is a shame. I'm sure we'll make it.
  16. Hmm, that sums it up I guess
  17. JustAsGood: you say the case is from NDT... What about the bezel? Looks damn good. In fact, I would love to read about all the details of your new baby...who knows, maybe one day
  18. Of course, and no surprise here, same guys again, all over again We are all Noobs forever. Noob is a ridiculous term applied to future less Noobs by recent Noobs that are becoming less Noobs themselves... It doesn't really matter what level of knowlegde one has and in which brand by the way. We all know some guys here with a true knowledge about one brand and they wouldn't try to pass for an expert in another brand. But we also know some who "know everything about anything" unfortunately. As you said, it's the world, it's human kind...give or s u c k seems to be the options.
  19. I'm sick and tired about these issues. I don't get it, really I don't get it, I will never get it. We're talking about 5$ a month from a tiny fraction of the community members I added a because it is not even what you would f u c k i n g pay for a bad coffee in a bar. You would pay a 100 to get a b l o w j o b if you feel like that. Anyways, I know what I have to do to keep this place alive and I know a bunch of people who are doing the same. OH AND BY THE WAY I WANT TO ADD Why the hell wouldn't the Admin/mod team make money out of this place. Can you please tell me why these guys should spend time and energy for free ? Would you? Then go and create your own b l o o d y forum and get rich. The Admin/Mod team here deserve some cash for the job they do for the entire community Stephane
  20. I sincerely think a separate section, like a sub forum, is needed. It would mean "hey, here is what I have for sale and the profit if for RWG". Without a separate section, it would cause a lot of confusion between "regular sales", Exceptional auctions and a items to donate...
  21. Don't mention it. My pleasure Robert.
