What a beauty! How is the movement holding up for you so far?
-
Nice sd on a nice nato! Is this a bp sd?
-
Yup it's a bp ceramic sub..fairly accurate and nice looking piece
-
Hi and welcome to the forum. Like many, you came here because of the "perfect sub". Nevertheles, it is a nice watch but to be straight forward trustys sub and all other subs td's carry are bad. Better is new ceramic version or tc, wm9, bk models. They are all sold out at the moment but if you are lucky you find one in the m2m sales section. Rather safe the money for a service when it comes to the upgrade of swiss movement. Bp maker (what trusty has mostly) use refurbished or just old swiss movements that are dirty and dry. Most asian movements are brand new and most of the times just as reliable this is just my opinion and I guess everybody has his own choice. If you just like the subtle look of the classic sub go for the sea dweller trusty sells which you get for under 200usd. This is way more accurate then the sub and would be a great rep. Stick to the forum and you will learn quickly! Please safe the money and wait until either tc releases a new sub (probably pretty soon) or find a nice tc 16610lv in the m2m section. You will be much much happier than with the current out if the box sub. Cheers and hope it helps

Not 100% correct. Andrew doesn't sell noob when there is another factory producing the same rep. There is for example no other option for the AP ROO so he also sells noob but yes you are correct that most other models are either bp, h-factory or any other.

I think it's very hard to explain but you have to try to remove one part in order to achieve male/femal
-
Awesome watch! Just ordered mine yesterday via toro and can't wait to get it. I will probably wear it for a month or two and then it goes off to Domi for full service incl. @12 mod and I will definitely have the crystal AR'd Enjoy!

Awesome piece Did you guys notice at sec: 19 the second hand seems no longer covered (capped) where it is fixed at the canon pinion..?
-
Oh damn thats a nice piece. Definitely need to visit basel this this or next week

Bought this for around 10us dollars good deal or not :)?

Use a rubber ball and try to turn the caseback to the left and it should open with the torque. Btw really bad rep but still there are people that have no clue and would not see that this is a rep haha..check the movement but definitely don't invest any money or time in it since as aforementioned too much is very wrong -
Ah now I know what your problem is. Try to unscrew the thread on the he valve with a plier. If I remember correctly this should be possilbe and then you should be able to have male and female and put it back together

The watch looks totally fine and you sold it at an amazing price with the gen insert! Get it back and wear it or sell it again Construction is the same but happens with my v6 aswell that the whole bezel assembly gets off instead of only the bezel with the insert. Cheers and hopefully you can sort that out in order that both parties involved are happy!
-
For mine only some days are left adjusted but most of it is perfectly centered. The problem is the dwo v3 which is very very hard to position 100% correctly and I am sure he does best as he can and even possible. Hopefully the v4 is finally fixing this issue and for all who are perfectionists the option is there to order a dwo v4 and have it perfectly centered by a watchmaker or on its own (which is very very very oh I forgot very hard )
-
Please upload some pictures of the area and highlight the problem area. Additionaly, try to be more specific since except that you lost your HE valve I don't understand a word
-
Yup definitely not a v5 but seems to be a v3 and moreover quite sure it is a tc submariner so calm down Put the crystal back in position and then press the bezel assembly back on. Definitely no wonder that it looks weird. With this watch everything is fine and the v3 is more sought after than the v5 anyway so you are lucky actualy!

Evenflow welcome to the board and I am sure you are one who will stay! Yes, it is very addicting and very very expensive.. The good thing about Rolex parts is that they won't lose their value. Moreover, if you are lucky and keep things in good conditions you could sell the stuff for more if you need the money. The tc crystal is totally fine so no hurry but if you get a good deal I wouldn't reject it. But be careful and double check it here on the forum since many people sell fake crystals on the bay and it's so hard to tell them apart just from looking at pictures. I was pretty lucky with mine

Very nice watch! I have the same with gen insert and just received a gen AR'd crystal which is amazing. Soon place an order for the v5 93250. The bracelet looks nicely sunken and the SEL seems to be great! Enjoy and TC is definitely a pleasure to deal with and the wait is well worth it
-
Thanks mate and with the new crystal I like it even more Already sold out? So he must plan a new coup and will realease it pretty soon. Either you wait or get lucky in a M2M sale.

99% sure haha..and in case you fail I am sure you know a watchmaker close to you how is skilled a little bit better I will send you the video tutorial later..afterwards you can't fail it
-
As soon as my Tissot is sold I will order one Both questions yes. Gen insert fits the tc v6 perfectly. I didn't need to shave it nor did I had to usw a crystal press. It poppws right in qith my fingers. Since Tc v6 is 100% gen construction you only need to slide something like a thin blade (be careful to not scratch the lugs, use stickers to protect it) and pop the bezel up. I will send you a youtube link how to diy. Should not be a problem for you at all

Oh mr A. I will order a safari soon and I already now about the pusher and date window inaccuracy but don't spoil me more since I can't afford do franken my ap at Domi I want it only serviced and AR'd by him The more we know, the more we get spoiled. For me that's exactly the fun but some reps I enjoy as they come and other like my tc v6 I want to brinh to perfection. The best tell for an insert is the pearl. For the 16610 for instance the gen pearl is covered by saphir glass and this is made just perfectly! Vintage caddell insert is the closest with regard to the pearl but the insert is slightly bent which is an inaccuracy. If it comes to the bezel assembly it gets extremely difficult since every new serial rolex deviates slightly. The earlier models had shallower and less defined bezel teeths while newer versions are deeper. For me I won't change it on my tc v6 which resembles a y-series and is very very close. Compared with my gen z-series 16610lv i really cant spot a difference. So as long as the quality is good I don't see it as a tell since there are too many gen variances. Some people admire clark's insert and other like the startime bezel that is pretty defined and deep. For me tc's bezel assembly is awesome but the sel fitment is often not great. Compare some gen sel's with tc ones. The endlinks should be sunken which is not really the case with the v4 93250. The v5 seems very promising and I order one soon
