Trusty's 16610? ROLSUB108C - any reviews or thoughts
sputim replied to marrickvilleboy's topic in The Rolex Area
Would definitely be interesting to see a detailed review. I guess it's a fairly accurate 16610 but nevertheless, I don't like the rehaut engraving and the pearl is definitely out of reach of the new caddell vintage insert. -
Thanks for your information. I definitely will martijnp. Will take 2-3 weeks from now on since I have to get it via UK to Europe. On the QC pictures it looked like there are some small dust particles on the dial under the crystal but the dealer assured me it is on the crystal and not under it. So are your two v6 without any dust on the dial? Will upload some pictures as soon as I get it

Mine is on its way but with the rubber strap. What do you think about the rubber strap martijnp? Does it feel as good as it looks?

The Longines Mastercollection Moonphase is a very nice dress watch for a extremely decent price. But yes they are definitely not expensive enough to replicate in a good manner.

Noob Questions: Planet Ocean Ceramic Titanium/Rubber Blue
sputim replied to luc717's topic in The Omega Area
So the screws which hold the movement are very tiny and its a pain in the b... to screw them back in at the end but I managed it and i am sure you will too but just be patient. I used double side sticky tape which i cut in tiny pieces and then used it. It holds but I could take the bezel out any time without opening the case anymore. So superglue would definitely work but was to permanent for me as well. I just like the pearl sit even with the insert so I heated it up with a lighter and then pressed it down a little bit. But do it before you glued the insert in. Yes to get out the crystal I used a press. It is not possible without it in my eyes. And yes without a spare dial definitely use dial protector. Nevertheless, if you only have to replace the insert try to heat up the insert with a hairdryer or something like that and then try to get it out with a razor blade or similar without scratching the bezel assembly. Should work since some members did the same thing. So good luck and keep us up to date- 27 replies

Noob Questions: Planet Ocean Ceramic Titanium/Rubber Blue
sputim replied to luc717's topic in The Omega Area
No problem at all since I received my bezel just last weekend. I had to change the crystal and dial anyway so it was very easy to remove the bezel once I popped the crystal out. But without doing so just heat it up with a hairdryer and use a rezor blade or something very thin to get under the bezel somehow. It is just glued in with a not very strong glue but bear in mind that you most probably will scratch the old bezel but since you get a new one anyway this doesn't matter. And also press in the pearl a little more when you get your new bezel, since it is not meant to stand out of the bezel- 27 replies

Noob Questions: Planet Ocean Ceramic Titanium/Rubber Blue
sputim replied to luc717's topic in The Omega Area
Yes some members first of all have the movement serviced upon arrival. I personlly go for asian eta and safe the money. Rather safe the money and spend it on a service when the watch needs it. That's at least how I do it.- 27 replies

Your question is the best sub right? This question is epic for new members and also a little bit ignorant. If you want what you described then better go gen. But if you can luve with an amazing rep with flaws ownly 1% or less would see when they hold their watch in the hand then read on and inform yourself more. Rightnow the bp 116610 and the noob v2 are excellent. The noob v2 has an amazing pearl, super bracelet and better finish overall. Bp sub has deeper and more gen feeling and indices on dial are better. Both are amazing reps but you have to decide which one you want to choose!

TD sites are often not up to date. Always check if the watch is available before you buy a watch. Noob wxplorer II white version is out of stock

Sounds like the bp version of the ceramic 116610, right? Just get noob bracelet of a dealer, glue it tight or live with it like most of the bp owners

Noob Questions: Planet Ocean Ceramic Titanium/Rubber Blue
sputim replied to luc717's topic in The Omega Area
So even if you wind the movement it is not working? So totally dead or just inaccurate? You can also find a rep friendly watch maker..just go and ask whether they are open to service a rep or not. Since the movement is eta every watchmaker should be able to solve the problem. Changing the bezel with the heating and razor method works if you have a new one since you most probably will scratch the old one. The bezel itself is only glued in with not a very strong glue I have to say. If I were you I would first try to get the movement fixed locally..just use google to find some watchsmiths in your area and then ask them with open cards. If not you most probably have to send it back. I even had such problems with an asian eta of bp so you can also be unlucky with a brand new movement. And be aware of the fact that also gen watches can stop working suddenly. Let us know how you proceed.- 27 replies

Noob Questions: Planet Ocean Ceramic Titanium/Rubber Blue
sputim replied to luc717's topic in The Omega Area
Very sorry to hear that now also the movement stopped working. Rep business is alot about being lucky or getting a bad watch. More often you will be lucky but sometimes bad luck hits you. Ask Andrew about sending it back but just be aware of the fact that a return to china can take weeks. So be patient or have the watch services at a local watmaker which was my advice.- 27 replies
