  1. Your attention to detail is bang on my level being a perfectionist myself Great work!
  2. Agree, fakes are what one finds on holiday, and Canal Street, Replica's are from TD's.
  3. You could be right there, I disregarded a seadweller under the impression they all had minute markers, but the early ones didn't.
  4. Sure is interesting, maybe post on TRF to see if there was even this kind of sapphire clad pearl fitted to a 5513 model?
  5. Maybe the sapphire has been fitted by a previous owner due to losing the original?
  6. Don't know if its the light, but from your photos, the pearl looks slightly too far to the right, check the metal housing of the sapphire, as said, it could be the angle/light though.
  7. It can happen if said cloth has a grain of sand in it for example.
  8. The anti-reflection coating is whats scratched.
  9. Indeed, I have read about the certain things which others are saying, but I refuse to comment until we actually hear from Thomas, I really thought he would have the courtesy to at least post an announcement of sorts in public rather than informing mods across the boards to hide his section from public view.
  10. I just wish we all had a definitive accurate account of what exactly is indeed going on with Thomas, far too much speculation going on.
  11. I'm receiving quite a few emails lately from customers wanting TC builds, but with TC no longer making them, I'm trying to to source any used TC parts that I can, and then build watches on demand using TC parts, so if you have any TC parts, please drop me a pm, thanks. I couldn't find a wanted section, so hope this is the right place?
  12. 2836-2 and 2834-2 are pretty much the same movement, both can take Asian GMT parts, and both are favoured for builds with DWO as its much easier to achieve than on a 2824-2 movement.
  13. The sloppy hand is referring to the minute counter complication @3 sub-dial. Quite common.
  14. Yes, I have done it hundreds of times over the years, I'm a service provider in watchmaking as my day job, but unlike most, I do help out the replica watch communities, taking on work on high end replica watches too. Be aware AOOTime is not a trusted source here.
  15. A dial spacer from a 2836 would work modified. A TC movement holder depends on the inner mid-case construction, if its not gen spec it won't fit.
  16. The DayLight models on bracelet seem to be quite well priced, and come with a true 7753 clone fitted.
  17. Yes, its possible, its a tight fit though to squeeze it in there, the TC2824 has the DWO too. If you have the parts, experience and materials, you can pretty much fabricate a custom dial washer on a lathe. The TC2824 comes with its own movement holder which aids the DWO placement, and in later TC builds with this movement TC used a paper washer on the leading edge of the movement holder itself. Without this, you can run the risk of the DWO rubbing the underside go the dial.
  18. 21J but unsure of exact caliber
  19. I don't know about a break, or if its permanent, it would help if Thomas addressed his loyal past customers, and future possible investors in in hobby.
  20. There has been many seizures of DHL shipments containing reps these last few weeks, so be thankful the Dealer offered you a safer alternative.
  21. Still have my own section on RepGeek, and in my feedback section I have almost six pages of great feedback too
