  1. Remember these movements are not made specificaly to put into rep watches, they are put into thousands of other legitimate watches. So the manufacturer makes them apear to be a bit more 'classy' than they realy are. The companies that make the rep watches buy these from the movement manufacturer, they do not manufacture them. So they have to take what they can get, it's the forum modders that take the flaws and try to make them more gen like by replacing the screws when required. Hope that helps?
  2. That do be so fake it's a insult to fakeness! And it's quartz making it fakingly fukin fake, for fakes sake!

  6. I have been working on one of these (7009A) in my Horology class. I must have diassambled, cleaned, oiled and re-assembled this movement about 20 times now. Brilliant implication of the auto wind system, so simple yet effective. It's so well made, the only issue I have had is the day jumper has a little spike that advances the day wheel, the spike has a cut away underneath it that makes it quite weak and I have had one break. But they are easy to get hold of so no worries. I realy like some of the dial/case combinations, you could have 1 movement and a dozen different cases and dials that you just swap around. Great stuff!
  7. As some would say "bigger needn't be better" 1920's J W Benson, London in 9 carat gold on a 6 3/8" wrist. 31mm. Elegant is the word
  8. Sloppy Lume & in the first pictures the top of the 2 in the date window is slightly chopped, apart from the bezel. I would have asked for another.
  9. I have a unmodded 42mm CRPO that I bought in a M2M sale, it has a ETA 2836 so I presume it's a ultimate version. I have tested it on a professional Elma machine to 10 Bar (100metres)
  10. Tudor do Sent from my toilet using Andrex.
  11. Now...would you like to know who's got the best Sub?

  16. Not without modification and at that price it is a rip off. Go to Cousins.co.uk and search UT649723024 Search the forum for 'incabloc mod' you will see these pices are not a direct swap but it can be done of course
  17. There's a high beat & low beat A7750. Do they have different escape wheels? I would assume so.
  18. I would probably say the Gen although BK's does run it close.
  19. Angus is he's own worst enemy, in many ways he asks for what he gets. He hypes up the next super duper rep, posts pictures of pre production proto's that gets the nit pickers knickers in a twist and just sets he's self up to fail because these nit pickers expect perfection and they are never going to get that from a rep. Let's be honest, these makers by now know what to look for when they are rapping a gen, font size, spacing, case shaping & sizing etc..etc..etc. So maybe the rep community has a tiny amount of influence on a finished product, but I think it's all about generating business on Angus's front. IMO he should stick to his business, lay low like Josh for instance and just provide exceplary customer service. Come and say hi once in a while or be available to settle disputes with forum members. Just get the reps to within 90% and the modders will finish off the final 9%
  20. Clark's, WSO or any other options? Gen spec 1675 only.
  21. $200 to fix or $50 for a new Asian 6497 movement...hmmmm Unless of course it's real ETA

  23. 1655 case backs are bubble backed, the 1675 is flat backed like the mill sub on rafflestime I referenced to
  24. I am using the cartel 1655 case, it takes gen parts. Rafflestime parts are gen spec also and they go together just fine.
  25. I am using the Rafflestime millsub, http://www.rafflestime.com/servlet/the-1081/Milsub-Watch-Case-Back/Detail No engravings but cheap and accurate.
