  1. Holy smokes! Mike this really an amazing build, and shows your skills as a watchmaker. Wear it with pride.
  2. I hate you, now I want one to with the Yuki case.
  3. Yes it will fit, but why not add a butterfly rotor?
  4. YW, You don't need any other other parts. Step 1. Step 2:
  5. The 1560/1570 movements were based on the 1530 which was introduced (around) 1957, and continued until (around) 1964. The 1560 was introduced (around) 1965, and continued until (around) 1967--it was 26 Jewels/18,000 BPH. The 1570 was also introduced (around) 1965, and continued until (around) 1979, but was 26 Jewels/19,800 BPH. For what it's worth, the rotor bridges, which bear the model numbers on all "15 series" movements, are all interchangeable. It's entirely possible to see a 1530 with a 1570 rotor bridge, or a 1520 with a 1555 rotor bridge, or any other strange combination.
  6. Wow, where are the days I could climb into a Harrier or Phantom or any other jet when they showed up at the cross servicing, and started taking pics of them.
  7. Not a rep, but I couldn't resist. This is just a dream watch.

  10. I am thinking about buying a Belstaff 554 messenger bag from Toro to try it while searching for the original version which seems to be rare. Has anyone bought this bag from Toro in the past, and what is your experience with this bag? http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=41_84&product_id=57
  11. Glad it all went fine (as always when ordering from Andrew), but please show us some pics. A fellow Dutchie.
  12. I really like this to. Hope to see it repped soon by Noob factory.
  13. Welcome to this addictive hobby, and marvelous forum. Last time I was in KL I haven't found any top quality reps, only the lower quality one's (on the streets around Bukit Bintang). Maybe they are to be found somewhere in KL, but I don't know.
  14. Looks gen to me.I have bought a gen dial with hands from them without any issues.
  15. Looks good to me, it is from somewhere between the 90's and 2000. I asked the seller if he ships outside the UK.
  16. looking good, I would leave it like this.
  17. I am currently busy upgrading my watch tools, to some good quality tools, and I am wondering if this crystal press is any good. It can take dies from a Bergeon 5500. It looks good to me, but maybe the experts can help me. I found this on fleebay, and the asking price is around $140.
  18. thanks, more info about the creepy robot can be found here: http://www.inmoov.fr/
  19. Welcome, For a new strap I would suggest Peter Watchacc, he makes very nice and good quality straps for IWC watches. You can contact him via FB.
  20. Thanks guys, for me this is all about the fun to work on a movement. I want to disassemble it, clean it, put it back together and upgrade some parts with gen parts. And when its finished I want to put it in my Franken Sub, which I will never sell anyway. Don't know if I am going to add all the listed parts, but I know for sure this is going to be fun. But first I am busy collecting good quality tools to do the job. In the meanwhile I can keep working on another project together with my younger brother.
  21. I want to Franken a Yuki 3135 movement as my next project to improve the quality of the movement, and I am curious to see what is possible. I have seen examples in the last month and this triggered me to do something similar for my Franken Sub. The list I came upon to of the gen parts that can be added are: 1.) Rolex winding pinion (3135-204) 2.) Rolex sliding pinion (3135-205) 3.) Rolex winding stem (3135-201) 4.) Rolex main spring (3135-311) 5.) Rolex Yoke for sliding pinion (3135-240) 6.) Rolex setting wheels 2 pcs (3135-250) 7.) Rolex date jumper part (3115-614) 8.) Rolex mechanism cover (3135-268) 9.) Rolex minute wheel (3135-260) 10.) Rolex cannon pinion (3135-270) 11.) Rolex hour wheel (3135-280) 12.) Rolex date disc (3135-16200) 13.) Rolex Automatic device module (3135-145) 14.) Rolex winding bridge (3135-130) Maybe there can be added more gen parts, but I don't want to make it to expensive. The last two parts can be added to the movement, but I don't see them improving the movement in any way, I guess they would let the movement look more like a gen movement then imrove it. And they cost an extra $700. What do you guys think? Could this be a fun project, or should I go for a gen movement? Main goal for me is to learn more about movements, and to see what I can do myself.
