I have been following this watch over on RWI and here, and finally I succeded in buying it. This is my second Franken, next to my Franken 16800. So my next target will be a Franken Rolex 1680 to complete the set. This watch was built by RWI member Shotgun, and the case is a Startime lug holed case that is perfect for these 16800/168000 or early 16610 builds. But the most beautiful piece is the gen 168000 dial with skinny coronet, This dial is just awesome. The full details of the build are as follows: ST case with pre drilled lug holes Gen 168000 Dial Gen Crown Gen Tube Gen Insert and tritium pearl Clarks Bezel assembly Gen Sapphire Crystal Gen Springbars TC Hands TC DWO Puretime 93150 Bracelet BK Clasp Swiss ETA 2824 with H4 Cannon Pinion

Picking up my first Pam. Looking for the best 177

I would suggest to use the search function, but here is a nice starting point: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/142483-review-panerai-pam-177-titanium/ -
What a ugly beast. I would sell it (to me) right away if I where you. LOL. But seriously, it a very nice watch. It was a long time on my wishlist, but I am wondering if it is not to big for my wrist. Wear it with pride.

New movement old watch, your thoughts please..

Nice, maybe its time for a homage watch in my collection -
That's true, they are expensive in Holland. I bought a new Macbook Pro in the US with a return flight ticket to the US for less what I should pay in Holland for a new Macbook Pro. The difference between US and NL was about 600 Euro

I would go for a Macbook Pro if you are using it for photo editing, and they are well build. I never had any issues with one of my Macs.

Yesterday my leather Peter Watchacc Nato strap arrived, and. It looks and feels really great on my Franken 16800

I have to agree, on the 2nd pic I also think the scratch is visible, on the others pics its not. A full refund is not in place here, I would suggest to pay for a new crystal.

I have seen a very nice 5513 from 1978 on sale for €5K.

I have no problem to go to Mike's store on Ebay on my iPad. I am located in Holland. The gator bone pen is really nice. -
Maybe you can get some more info here: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/reference-pam-review-107365.html I would go for the PAM 505

WOW! This is again a very beautiful build.

Thx. I am guessing its wise to get the movement serviced, and cleaned. Maybe I could swap the datewheel with a gen version then.

Yesterday I received my Franken 16800 which I got from a trade over on RWI. It is an very nice build with very nice parts, but its not perfect yet. I want to change the endlinks to the correct 501b endlinks, and maybe replace the hands by gen tritium hands. The quickset date does not function, I can't change the date, the only way to change the date is to change the time. I am guessing this can be easily fixed. I don't know if I am going to replace the insert with a more vintage looking (faded to a blue color) insert, or just leave it like this. The specs of the watch are: - ST case, re-shaped, gen specs. - TC bezel assembly - gen insert with Tritium pearl - gen crystal no LEC - gen tritium dial - Sean hands, relumed to match dial - gen crown - Yuki 3135 movement - rep bracelet 93150 with 455B end links

Review: FGD's and Rolli's magnificent 002/009 dial!

I bought this gen 16610 dial on the bay a couple of weeks ago together with the hands. It was stated as a 16610 / 16800 dial. Now I have a question about the dial, because I want to use it for my Franken project, and I want to source the right parts to complete this build. Does this looks as a 16610LV Mark II dial?
