netniet replied to marlin22's topic in The Panerai Area
Wow, this is very nice. On RG are some gen parts for a Fiddy on sale right now. -
Very nice, this is why i like this forum. These kind of builds are a inspiration.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow dutchie. Check out the TD, and brands section an you're ready to go. I never had any problems with customs, lost packages and so on when i bought reps from TD's and via M2M sales. The one important thing i learned is to be patient, sometimes it can take a while for the watch to arrive (mostly between 1-3 weeks). And don't forget the different timezones, sometimes it can take a while before you get an reaction from the TD or seller.

Thanks guys, the search for a gen insert started. It shouldn't be that hard to find one, i saw one here in M2M, and a couple on TRF. -
Rolex SSD v2 with full Jackjo mods, what todo next with it?
netniet posted a topic in The Rolex Area
Today my Rolex SSD v2 modded by Jackjo arrived in the mail. It is a very nice watch, but i want to upgrade it. I was thinking about replacing the insert and crown with gen parts, and replacing the strap with a TC one. What else could be done to make to worth holding on to for a long time? And who can do it for me? -
I wouldn't start with buying for my first watch a Franken Panerai, at first i would start with buying some PAM's from a TD or via M2M sales to see if you like them before spending the big bucks on a Franken PAM. In M2M sales you can find some nice builds from members, search for the one's with a FGD dial, there are currently some really goodlooking reps on sale. And i would reccomend to read the guide in the previous post, it is a must for Panerai fans.

I bought some nice Calvin Klein boxers, 6 for $2,50, a Mui Mui wallet for $75, and 2 decent reps for $150 at MBK.

Very very nice, hope to see mine with almost the same specs very soon. Its now in the mail towards me.

Very nice. I was thinking, would a SS bezel also looks good on this case?

There where 2 watches in the mail heading my way. One (PAM 111 V3 Noob) bought via M2M sales, and shipped on the 14th April from the US via USPS, and a Pebble bought on Kickstarter send with Singpost. I received for both of them a trackingcode. So far, so good, untill today. I called the postal service here in Holland (TNT) if they had a tracking code for the PAM, because it left the States on the 16 April, and i wanted to know where it was. They told me a package cleared customs today, and would be delivered today, and i received a tracking code. Still so far, so good. Untill this afternoon i checked the status, it was changed to 'undeliverable, unkown address. Return to sender', but the weird thing was that my correct address was shown in the tracking details. I called the postal service again, and they confirmed my address, but they couldn't do anything about it, and that it would be send back to where it came from. Because the PAM is coming from the States, and the other from Asia, and i wanted to know if they knew where it came from, so i could contact the seller. And they couldn't tell where it came from. So which watch is send back, and which one is coming? Don't know, and i don't like it. I really hope its the Pebble that got f*ed, and the PAM will be here soon. But untill the next delivery its a very big question mark. I contacted the seller of the PAM to tell him what's happend, and we will see if its delivered back to him. To be continued

Thx, the blue color dial is from a DSN PAM 082. What i really like about this dial is that is depending on the angle you look at it the color change.

I recently started collecting reps, and wanted to go to next level, which is building my own reps. So for my first build i wanted to keep it simple, just source the parts, and put them together to create my first watch. After a short while i finally sourced the following parts via M2M: A brand new Noob PAM 005M case with crystal A new PAM 201 caseback PAM 061D dial, hands and movement Noob PAM 111 V3 crown and CG And after a couple of hours my first build was finished, and i do like the result when i added the strap made by Serge of D-Straps. When i had finished this I thought why not swap my PAM 082 dial and Swiss movement from its TI case, to a DSN PAM 218 DLC pencil lead case, maybe it would look good. What's next? Don't know, I obtained a very nice Eddie Lee OP6518 (PAM001) caseback, so the hunt is on for some quality parts for a very nice second build. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Very nice watch, and tempting for avery first Hublot. I would open it myself to remove the lint, and repaint the rotor. For these kind of issues i have bought a toolkit like Watchbiz offers here.

This looks very interesting. Love to see the end result.

Really nice. I did also swapped my dial wath a Swiss movement in another case, but i choose a DSN pencil lead PVD case. It is also very stunning.

Sorry to hear, but maybe i can help. What are you looking for, and where are you based?

Maybe he was thinking, Noob or H-factory? Omg! -
LOL gr. Hans
