  1. What's the lower/middle pistol? I don't think I've seen one like that before Oh for 2nd Amendment rights
  2. That's what this place is all about
  3. Total fantasy model, I believe When going fantasy, the only answer to that, is 'why not'?
  4. It's no secret that I've never been a stickler for 100% accuracy in builds, but just thought I'd solicit people's thoughts on an issue. I've recently acquired a fixed lug Radiomir case (originally a repair job, which the owner has since very graciously gifted to me [many thanks again, J ]) and I'm thinking of taking it down the California homage route, but this has got me considering hand options. I'd always thought Cali dials were traditionally accompanied by blued hands, and I then wondered how regular black Luminor-style hands might look, so I hit up google, but I have to admit, I'm not liking how the black hands look. However, I am considering a set of gold 1950-style hands instead... Do folks think this might be a step too far away from the traditional blue, or an acceptable look? TIA
  5. Sorry I missed this, but that's a fantastic build
  6. I'm not normally one to advocate sending a watch back for the more niggling flaws, but this sounds like it has enough niggling flaws to render it unwearable, so it is definitely in need of sending back. My Heritage has a quartz movement, at it's time keeping is near +/-0 per day. Same goes for the movement of my plastic submariner, which cost me £15, and was probably not even worth £5, but the thing still keeps bang-on time, so while I understand that quartz isn't for everyone (I've even had my own rants about quartz in the past) I must say now, that in all honesty, a quartz movement can be perfectly acceptable (depending on user requirements) and for it to lose time like that, well, that's just unacceptable IMHO
  7. Awesome story, and fantastic watch
  8. I would definitely suggest the Tudor Heritage, it has both a stopwatch function and a rotating bezel for other timing operations Not exactly 'cheap' (depending on your budget) If you want really cheap, I would suggest a plastic submariner homage Cheap as chips, modable with a branded dial if you fancy a chuckle, probably water resistant, and pretty much disposable should it malfunction
  9. Can't wait to give that a try
  10. I like how the deadline for refunds has already expired
  11. I would say 'safety first', but it's not like you're in rushhour traffic
  12. I haven't heard from him in a while, but I'm hoping he's just taking care of business
  13. No worries, I haven't got the cash to order it at the moment, but I am expecting some funds to clear within a few days, so it won't be a problem to order it for you when that happens
  14. Dammit, bro, stop taking pics of my loose change
  15. I've always bought cheap out of financial limitations, but to be honest, I can't really fault the longevity of the watches. Only ones which 'broke', were ones I started dissecting and damaged before getting the hang of what I was doing ( ) the others're all still going strong
  16. Still keeping it casual, but going a bit more Retro today
