  1. Fantastic work, your friend wold be proud
  2. I know what you mean, that's why I don't consider the 7032 a grail watch for me. I like it, but the Heritage has filled that void enough that I'm no longer bothered if I get a 7032, so to me, that's a sure sign that it wasn't a grail watch

    yuki 16800

I can't wait to get mine built, but I suspect that I'll find the same thing after the build
  4. If my brother in law did that with a watch I'd bought for him, I would kick his ass
  5. Ahh, excellent result Matte varnish is certainly a very useful medium
  6. Looking good, what did you do to the dial? That looks more than just baking
  7. When I want to be classy, I wear this...
  8. Absolutely love it :tu: And as for the advert... :good:
  9. See what parts might be available and make it happen
  10. The blog owner added the pics from their archive for illustrative purposes, but now you mention it...
  11. My main grails are the 6200 and the transitional 16800: A recent addition to the list, is the DR 1665, which has become something of an obsession to research, and a project I am well and truly gnashing at the bit to begin... As much as I love the 7032, I can't consider it a grail watch, because since acquiring my Heritage, I'm not as concerned about if I can add a 7032 to my collection... If it can be so easily substituted, it's not a grail in my book Other honorable mentions, are three favorites which do not quite have 'grail status' for me, as I am not desperate to acquire or build them, but which I still really like: the Exotic Daytona, the Snowflake Submariner, and Oliver Shepard's custom 1655
  12. An extremely useful and well researched blog resource for anyone interested Now reads "An extremely gay fetish page..." For a more balanced view on traditional Japanese underwear, here's the information
  13. I've just had an article published on a blog devoted to traditional Japanese underwear, the fundoshi, so just thought I'd share
  14. Yes, Torchwood was originally an anagram of Doctor Who used when the new stuff with Christopher Eccleston was being produced, so nosy interns wouldn't realize the tapes contained the rushes for Doctor Who Wouldn't go so far as to say 'watch porn', but John Barrowman is a known collector of Rolex watches, so it's worth seeing what he's wearing. In the first seasons of Torchwood, he wore a black-dialled DateJust (or possibly AirKing Date) on an aftermarket strap. I've always suspected this was Barrowman's own watch, rather than from the costume department, as I have seen him wearing several DateJusts on various shows (usually on bracelets though) More recently (last 24 months or so) he's been seen wearing this GMTIIc quite a bit...
  15. Fingers crossed, but as Russell T Davies wrote it, I'm not getting my hopes up...
