  1. Ahh, nothing a pair of wire cutters and a file can't take care of A piece like that would certainly blend in at any of the above venues
  2. I'd say it looks good to go as is, what've you got planned for it? PS :good: on the Sub too
  3. Today's wrist-wear: An idea I had...:
  4. Wow, that really is a beautiful build
  5. Looking good Depending how comfortable you are with painting/luming, I'd try using a luming tool to apply an ivory enamel paint over the yellow lume, then put lume on top of the enamel paint
  6. Thanks, amigo Rolex Service Center
  7. I only do it when they're necessary to the reply, and when it comes to seeing a watch being looked over by an RSC watchsmith, it's all about the pics How else would they get all those small parts put together [Edit to add] Still wearing this one
  8. Good to see the RSC watchsmith hard at work
  9. Just want to add, that KB really is The Man, and a pleasure to do business with
  10. Looks like something which fell through a time vortex from the Seventies... :thumbsupsmileyanim: :thumbsupsmileyanim: :thumbsupsmileyanim: :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  11. I would have said 'understated' Personally, I prefer the walnut, it creates a nice contrast, where I think the teak looks a bit 'washed out' by comparison
  12. That's an interesting one to be sure, the more I look at it, the more I like it
  13. Can't wait to see how it turns out, what kind of luminous material were you considering using?
  14. Looking good Have you any plans to re-lume the hands and dial?
  15. You know it's a nice day when I break out a NATO strap... Actually, it's because I made myself this last night (Yes, I've been watching the A Team movie... ) I couldn't get the knot open before taking a shower, and figured if I can tolerate a wet bracelet, I can tolerate a wet NATO
  16. I wish Pretty comfy though, I'm curious to see how long they last though, Emily's had a pair of real Birkenstocks for about 3 years now, and when I compared these to a pair in a store in town, the composition and thickness of the sole layers was identical
  17. Wifey treated me to these 'replica' Birkenstocks £5, and about 90% identical to the Birkenstock Arizona
  18. It depends on what you're selling... Some watches, like a SOSF will always command a good price, because they're hard to come by, but others, probably will not sell for much. If they're ones you don't wear much, there's not much point in holding on to them, but I would advise against selling for the sake of selling, as I suspect the new watch would fail to live up to the expectation, and you'd wind up with buyers remorse. Sure, you could then flip said gen for what you paid for it, but you probably wouldn't be able to replace everything you'd sold which you might start missing...
  19. Wearing this one to remind myself that life's a joke, and to treat it as thus
  20. I never said a gen wasn't a gen. My point, as another member pointed out, was that buying that 'one watch' can just lead to buyer remorse and the loss of previous collection if that was how funds were acquired. The question from the OP was "Would you do it?" My answer was no, and I expanded on why. Your reasons are your own Precisely what I was meaning, thanks, bro
  21. Glad to see everything has been amicably resolved without the need for unpleasantness
  22. In that case, don't buy a Rolex... To Joe Public, Rolex = Fake... You can wear anything else, and no-one will bat an eyelid, but if you wear a watch with The R Word on the dial...
