I have a TW best Sub, MBW LV and pepsi GMT with a 2893 movement all modded by Bk and they are just wonderful pieces. I also have a MBW Single Red 1680 and GWSD 1665 still unmodded and they are BOTH great pieces and will be even better once modded. I will soon have back my SSD and 2008 Z series MBW fully modded by Bk. I can say with all honesty that I love each of these watches and wear them as often as possible. My biggest disappointments?......Graham diver....just too big even though so nicely made. FM Conquistador......the very rough end link sides...unfinished for some odd reason turned me off from the day I received it. Cartier Roadster...latest and best version.....again little flaws here and there and an uninspiring dial make it rare for me to wear. Finally the Tag Aquaracer...although nicely made it just does not do it for me at all.

Connery was THE James Bond. All others fall short. The author who wrote the BOND novels felt, as soon as he met Connery, that he was the perfect James Bond. I think that says it all.

The first top end gen I bought was an Omega Seamaster automatic..blue dial. I bought it from a local Jeweler for around $1600 back I would say 10 years ago. problem was back then I thought the mens large size was too big and bou8ght instead the meds mid sized version. BIG was not IN back 10 years ago mind you. Now of course I think the watch is too small for me and I never wear it! LOL

I agree 100%. If I were you start off with the new 5513 white dial from Eurotimz. LOOKS FANTASTIC! Then the 1665 GWSD and finally a double red 1680 sub. For all three out of the box they are great watches...very well built. IMO all you need to do is get someone to install/recess a closer to gen insert, drill out the lug holes to correct size and install the correct spring bars, trim the CG and finally install a better crystal (say a CLARKE crystal) and you will have watches to DROOL over.

For a young guy I would avoid the Rolex watches that are "dolled" up with diamonds etc. WAY too flashy a watch and an obvious fake. My FIRST rep was a day/date, black dial with diamond dial and bezel and although not a bad rep I never wear it. If I were you I would buy a nice sub....perhaps the one now being offered by PT (modern) OR perhaps the No date sub now being offered by Eurotimz. The No date is a vintage piece but so very well made....a real masterpiece.

I live 40 min from Canel Street and go every year with the wife to shop and eat in Little Italy. The reps...say 98% of them are crap as compared with what you can find on here. You wont find a Rolex rep even remotely like the Noob mariner. In fact when I was there earlier this year I asked around for the TOP quality Rolex Sub. The best offered was a POS with a date mag maybe 1.25X. I pointed this out and the responce was..."All the new Sub models come that way"....LOLOL. You can find some reps that look like something you would find here but how can anyone be sure? Here at least if you dont get what you paid for something could be done about it. On Canal Street once you give them the $ ...your stuck with whatever you bought.

How is the crystal on this watch? Close to what it should be? What crystal should be on this watch? Superdome?

NICE!!!!! Along with a nato strap! Am I seeing things or are those lug holes drilled to gen size?????? They look larger than either my MBW 1680 or 1665.

The lay public is easily misled. All you need to look at are the millions that tune in to hear Rush Limbaugh every day. All they are hearing are half truths and news that is slanted only one way. If the public knew the reality......that we live economicly and politically within a MIXED system they would then understand. Its the interplay of capitalism (the right) and socialism (the left) that makes us great and strong. Following just one pathway would not allow us to ebb and flow along with the ever changing national and world climate we must function within. Just look to those nations that do not provide for those at the bottom and you would see how we would look if we followed a single minded economic course.

My CHS has been returned twice. The second time back and the GMT hand gains 2 hours over the course of 8-10 hour time span. Twicw in the last 3 days the hands all stopped except for the seconds hand which kept on spinning. I asked the dealer for a refund and after some back and forth I am getting a asian IHS for free. I HOPE this watch will be OK. I will use the CHS for parts.

Completely inaccurate but maybe a sign that a ultimate or perfect version may be in the works. This however is a terrible rep.

Its just so ridiculus. McCain met this woman ONCE before chosing her as his VP..ONCE! So McCain picked someone to fill the second most important position in the world that he does not even KNOW! McCain is 72 and its certainly possible that he wont finish his term and if this would occur who is our new President? A self described "hockey mom" from Alaska! Whats even more crazy is all the right wingers such as Limbaugh trying to convince the lay public that this is the best possible choice! McCain did what he thought was required to win for him the White House NOT what was good for the American people and that should be something everyone should remember when deciding who they should vote for. I was leaning McCain but now no way he gets my vote.

Just to point out...its way early to say that any candidate rising or falling in the polls in fact will mean anything by voting time. Like MOST elections one will be ahead, the other will close ...its back and forth like usual as the public leans one way or another. I was listening to Rush Limbaugh this afternoon and its amazing that already McCains choice of an inexperienced self titled "soccer mom" as VP is being exclaimed as a "brilliant' move. What a JOKE! McCain is 72 and has had a history of cancer and the pick that is the very best for this countries future is who? Are you kidding me? She was chosen for one reason and one reason alone....to try to win the election. Just think if McCain wins the election and God forbid he passes away a few years from now ...who would we have as the leader of our country? I honestly was leaning to McCain but after todays really selfish move I cant see myself voting for him....heck I think I will sit home election night and not vote at all!

I think in general its important not to complain publicly until you know for sure that a dealer is giving you a problem. Give them a chance and from my experience buying over 30 reps they will come through. This is especially true of Angus who I have found to go over and above the efforts of other dealers to make everything RIGHT when a problem occurs.

Angus comes through again. I also did not hear back from Angus in the last few weeks about my watch repair. This morning a knock at my door and there was a nice package from........ANGUS! After unpackaging there was a perfect Chopard with gray dial. (the pricey one!) I will be wearing it today at a friends BBQ and I am sure it will get lots of attention. THANKS ANGUS!

I have this watch and its amazing. Looks just like a $8000 gen and no one will be able to tell the difference. HOWEVER.......I would strongly comment that under no circumstances should you swim, shower etc with any rep chrono watch. Just too many areas where water can get in.

Angus always came through for me. Two times watches were lost in transit and he sent me another without a single problem. I recieved a faulty braclet with another watch and a new one was in the mail again without any question. He sent me recently a free deployment clasp for my Graham Diver because of a faulty watch. (free for my inconvienance) I am also waiting for a reply from Angus regarding a Chopard (the pricey one!) that I sent back for repair. But heck...he has been on vacation and he still may be on vacation and I am sure he has PILES of emails to sort through so I will sit patiently....my gut feeling is he will come through as he always has for me in the past.

Angus has always been good to me. I also got a bad watch from him about a month ago...the gray dial Chopard. NOT a cheap watch as you all know! I sent it back well over 3 weeks ago and have had no responce from Angus the last 10 days. Im not worried since he has always come through in the past.

I have just heard that a REAL ceramic GMT will be available in short order.

I have told this story before but here goes again......the day before I found the real rep forums I went ahead and bought a TT black sub from Best Swiss. I would say we are talking 3-4 years ago. NOW that I know what I am looking at what I have is a TT TW Best. Quality is very good and it is still running and telling time to this very day. SOON it will be modded if I can find someone who can do the job well that is. I do have to say that the links, bezel and crown have not in any way tarnished. The end links are plated gold and even they look good with an occasional black smudge forming that is easily polished away. The way everything has held up it could very well be solid gold but cant tell you for sure. I paid $975 bucks which of course is a huge rip off but its a very nice TW best. Also if anything goes wrong forget it. I tried to contact them to ask a few questions about the product. I always got that "the watchmaker is away so call back next week". Of course he is never available. So anyone reading this ...they are a rip off and there is no reason to waste your money.

I am kind of amazed......you mean to tell me that when someone posts about the situation here with andrew on RG these posts are removed almost immediatly? Why is this not giving everyone a HUGE pause to ponder? This is a huge indication that at least ONE major watch forum is controled by the dealers. Not good. Has anyone asked the admin why they are pulling posts that are trying to share with other watch rep buyers important information?

Maybe I mised something but can someone tell me where did REPGEEK come from? From my memory it was a brand new forum that "appeared" at the same time that two respected dealers were having some issues on another board. All of a sudden REPGEEK was born out of nowhere.

Stop me if I am wrong but.....is it not true that Josh and Andrew were having problems in another forum several years ago and WHAM like overnight REPGEEK popped into existance? I got the impression at that time that they were both responcible for creating that board...or at least that was the impression I had.

The other thing that bothers me is......All the evidence I have seen quotes Andrew and nothing concerning Joshua. So why are both banned? I always speculated that they are one in the same so does this mean that the boards knew all along that this is the case and this is why both are banned at the same time?

To change the subject for a second....who is the incredible blond that wants attention in Jawo avatar?????????
