Angus stands behind everything he sells. He is the BEST in this regard. You have a problem...he will fix it. If the watch is lost or confiscated he will send you another. I bought my SSD from him.....the bands all sucks with these watches initially. I complained and a new one was in the mail immediatly. Recently I bough a DeWitt from him and there was a minor QC issue that he told me was just the way the watch was (right side dial did not 100% center back to 12 oclock position....a quarter a mm off)......so he offered me a nice discount on my next watch. Cant do better than Angus except for possibly BK who does the mods and QC and stands 100% behind all his work so there is never an unsolvable issue.

Do the ofrei "inserts with illumines dot" for vintage rolex have the same illumis dot as he sells seperatly? How are his inserts for vintage rolexs in general? The inserts that come with MBW look pretty good....very shiney Rolex like look but I do not know how close they are to gen. Anyone know?

A quick question....whats the difference between the Euromariner and a MBK (MBW) sub? Same watch just slightly modded?

I live in NJ and go with the wife to canal street every year. Most watches dont have any where near the quality of what can be found here. Ive been going for years and still have not found a Sub that is anywhere close to a NOOB.

MBW makes a no CG vintage sub?????? Who and where do I go to buy it?

I already have too many subs.....MBW LV, TW best, Latest MBW, 1680, Silix BOND sub, MBW TT I guess the thing I was thinking of is making some sort of a no date sub. I also have a plastic crystal (superdome type) that came off my MBW 1665...if this helps....

I have the following and I am wondering if I could put them together to make a watch that would look decent. NOOB case and bracelet MBW modern Sub movement/dial/hands Silix "BOND" no date sub dial.....Says..... "Rolex Oyster Perpetual"............."100m=330 ft".......SUBMARINER Watchmaker bezel/pearl I guess what I really need is a modern no date dial. What does everyone think? I would like to do something with these as my first mod project. However I would like to have something decent when I am done.

I bought a plated gold datejust for my wife. Its nice but the plating on the bracelet is only on the surface...the sides of the "gold" links are NOT plated. If you look at the pics on Andrews site of gold wrapped you can see that the gold is all the way around each link. Wrapping will be typically thicker than plating so hopefully more durable.

UGG...these have the most NON existent rehaut thickness I have ever seen in any sub. Simply awful.

As per King's site the watch contains an 21 jewel asian movement and is PVD.

I would tell you to contact KING (kingwatch) and tell her exactly what you want. She can put together for you the dial, bezel, bracelet combination you are looking for. I think she offers solid gold versions if you want to splurge. In terms of plated gold types tell her you want WRAPPED 18K not plated. It will last far longer.

Has any dealer mentioned if they wil be coming out with al the other 2008 models? I would love to have the NEW SD and SUB especially if the quality is as good as the GMT.

I think that typically if its a high beat it will say 28,800. The description does not so the assumption plus the low price is that it contains a low beat. is the low beat problematic??????? I really like this watch and would like to order it if the low beat movement is OK.

Looks great. Where did you get this from with lug holes and all? Looks like someone recessed the insert and those CG dont look bad either. Obviously those lug holes have been drilled since no sub comes with those thick spring bars. Its a modded TW best with a NOOB dial?

I have this watch and the rehaut looks good. Also the band which typically comes with solid mid links (past years modern MBW subs) now comes with hollow center links. Its a great sub rep.

Be careful of that JLC. It is mislabeled on its back as a "Date/Moon" phase watch....it is neither. The SS back also looks suspicious with a supposedly solid rose gold case.

The Zigmeister is by far and away the very best. This is undeniable. He knows the rep world, the movements and he is a great modder. HOWEVER....if we all sit back and do nothing to bring in another to be a back up for The Zigmeister then one day we will wake up and there will be no one to mod/repair our rep watches. We really do need more than one top of the line expert in this area.

Looks great. However I would have gone with a black croc strap since it goes better with the dial of the watch. The rep bands look cheap.......croc pattern but obviously not real croc.

Mine was shipped yesterday. Cannot wait until I have this baby on my wrist.

This is a scary looking rep. At first glance its the best Rolex rep I have ever seen. Cant wait till I get mine.

If its the latest version you probably have the gen bezel mechanism.

I think the older MBW and TW best operated the same as you described. The latest MBW however is constructed like the gen in this respect. Which do you have? old or new version? The NEW MBW came out late last year.
