  1. @freddy333 can't see them unfortunately.
  2. Oh yes there will be lots of laugher, I can vouch for that! As we speak the watch is winging its way across the English Channel to our brothers for the Dutch GTG. Enjoy guys. Finally from me, a massive thank you to Andrew at Trusty Time for making this happen.
  3. Well let's see if we can fix that - for its official unveiling........ So a little detour before it gets to Nikki6.
  4. @Sogeha you are a very well travelled gentleman Sir. The Sloop Inn - Circa 1312 according to the photo, so yes indeed?you would have been a very young boy. @McPikie the clue is in the photos - Nikki6 is receiving the watch next.
  5. Last few before it goes off tomorrow. St Michaels Mount. St Ives The Sloop Inn - older than many countries!
  6. Statue! No wonder I had no response when in propositioned her! I really should pay more attention to my surroundings rather than the watch I'm wearing. Anyway..... This one is going to get me in trouble so I'm signing off for the night.
  7. Good, pop down sometime and I'll spin ye a yarn. Out now now on a pirate trail......
  8. Lume shot!!!! Yep, bugger all. Why let lume spoil its good looks and pinkness?
  9. Presious has landed in Sunny (!!!) Cornwall. We have friends staying at the moment so are showing them a few of the tourist sites. Firstly, Mousehole - a quaint little Cornish fishing village, named so because a local cave looks like a errrrr mouse hole....... A short drive to Porthcurno followed. A bit of history here as it's where the first transatlantic communication cable came ashore - right in the middle of the beach. Allowing telephone calls between Europe and the USA. These photos were taken by the Minack open air theatre - cut directly into the cliff. Onwards to Lands End. The most Southwesterly point of mainland UK. Not too much to see here because of the vast amounts of the Cornish liquid sunshine falling from the sky. If if I get a chance I'll take a few more before it wings its way north to ....... A nice thought would be to keep a running total of the distance the watch covers. So far the estimate is: China to MOAB about 8000 miles MOAB to Sogeha approx 3125 miles Sogeha to Kernow about 900 miles Kernow to Nikki6 gestimated at 512 miles
  10. Still no good Moonwatch reps. Some of the Speedmasters with 2 subdials are better though. As for a 40mm PO, send a photo of what you're looking for to a TD and ask if they can get one.
  11. @SSTEEL can source parts (gen and rep) and sort it for you. He's EU based too.
  12. Shocking, just shocking. Condolences to those affected.
  13. Whilst I don't own a LMPO, my rep Omega bracelets are on the whole rather good. Yes, the gen is better: softer and less sharp edges but at a substantial cost.
  14. Lots of forums seem slow and not just watch forums. Others I visit such as cars, photography and cycling seem slower this time of year. Then there are social media sites like Facebook that people also use for discussions too.
  15. Looks great on 'your' wrist. Hope you're going to post some pics out in the wild?
  16. Yeah, a lot are waterproof out of the box but I'm happy that this passes 100m and is a chronograph so has an extra 2 holes in the case which are not screw down crowns.
  17. I was out shopping and noticed a Timpsons shop so thought I'd pop in and ask if they could pressure test my Seamaster chrono (rep). For our non British brothers, Timpsons are shoe repairers who also 'repair' watches aka change batteries, remove links etc. Generally not a watchsmith per say but good to go to for the smaller things. Now, the one I went into was a small, almost cabin/container sized pop up. The guy inside knew a little about watches but probably wouldn't know a rep Seamaster so I thought I'd take the chance. I asked him if he couldn't pressure test my watch to 300m - knowing his equipment would not go that far. He said that it would have to be sent away for that test but could test it to 100m for free........ and it passed! Well done to my SMP Chrono. I'm very pleased to say the least. Any other similar stories?
  18. Enjoy your time here. There is plenty to learn and some of our members are very very knowledgeable.
  19. Yes, welcome. Indeed it is an easy going place with very little flaming, more like a gentlemans club. So pull up a pew and join in the fun.
  20. No customs problems for me either, I'm in pirate country down in Cornwall and we don't believe in things like that. AAARRRRRHH
  21. It looks a very nice watch. Should you buy it please post some photos. Oh, and may I be first in line when you come to sell it !!!!!
