Another expensive rep has landed - thanks to @Sogeha Great watch for the money. A grab and go quartz and with it being a lesser known make should fly under the radar

It's a 1995. I've had a local guy I know look over it. There is stretch in the bracelet and to make it mint it needs a new dial - a little (and i mean little)oxidation on it. It was serviced in 2014 so should be okay for a few more years. My friend bought it from a shop in Spain a few years ago. It came with the box and a service paper - no original paperwork unfortunately. He has accepted an offer already. So it won't be for sale it seems.

Not mine but a friends in my possession. One of my closest friends recently suffered a mild stroke and he cannot currently work. He runs his own businesses so is suffering financially and is looking to sell his gen Rolex. Whilst this thread is not a sales thread (if it is offered on the forum I'll make a sales thread) I'm after opinions on it value please. This was purchased in Spain years ago by my friend and has the box and possibly a warranty card (not sure on the card). I'm not an expert on this model so am asking the Rolex experts here as to its value. Please feel free to chime in and state your opinion. The watch is in the U.K. so would eventually be sold in U.K. pounds.

I'd say SSTEEL is a perfect choice to build it for you. I have half a dozen of my watches with him at the moment and more waiting here to send.

Lovely just lovely. I'm especially into white dials at the moment so you know which is choose. I wish I had the know how to produce such beautiful work.

You'll find a lot of TDs often don't remove watches that are no longer available. I'm sure that they have their reasons, unbeknown to me. Though possibly because the amount of time it takes to do such housekeeping and they often don't know themselves on the less popular reps.

Looks great.

On my Seamasters it goes inside the bezel. There should be a groove machined inside the bezel. Once in place you can then push the bezel onto the watch mid case.

You are soooooo Wrong. Just because we Europeans are all 'friends' again does not mean we do not remember or pay our respects. My Great Great Uncle died in WW1. My Grandfather fought in WW2. Today, at work, we commemorated Armistice Day. Everyone stopped work at 11:00am for 2 minutes silence. Having served in the armed forces with people who have lost friends and comrades in conflicts, I feel duty bound to speak on their behalf. Today I watched Black Adder 4 - a (very) British comedy about WW1. Even that brought a tear to my eye.

"Isn't this forum the best?" Well of course it is. The tempered mannerisms of well grounded members, the lack of back stabbing and witch hunts make it a great place for both inexperienced and long serving members alike.

With it being a (reverse) panda dial, the sub dial spacing immediately smacks you right in the eye. An all black Speedy looks much more realistic.

I guess that over the last 40-50 years it's been through several services. Anyone of those could have switched the caseback - maybe the original was engraved as a gift and the next owner wanted it changing, who knows. It still looks good though.
-
I once had to wait around 4 months for a TC if that counts.

The watch is firstly doing the rounds of the VIP/Diamond/Platinum members and after that we'll see where it gets to. It's traveling now as far as I know.

Smallest/biggest watches youve owned & wore?

Jack, a goldsmith could easily make a 15 minute marker for you. Lovely watch by the way. -
He's not been active for. Long while. Maybe contact one of the mods involved at the time. A PM is best.

I guess the smallest would be an old ETA that I picked up in a yard sale for a couple of pounds here in the uk. It is maybe 35/36mm. Not in fantastic condition but it runs and keeps time. A classic old Swiss watch that I may one day have restored. At least it's been saved from the rubbish tip. The largest is probably a 47mm Pam. At a time when I was wearing 39-42mm watches it felt and looked (in my eyes) ridiculous. Now days it would look on the larger side of normal. -
Always mate, always.

I like it a lot, but it's too expensive to my liking, both rep and gen. Now if someone has bought it and done a review I maybe more likely to buy.

A good looker. Should be highly visible in that Alaskan snow should you lose it. Wear it well.
