  1. The above applies to Speedmasters. Other Omega reps like the Seamaster Chronographs are good reps as they use the ‘correct’ movement (A7750).
  2. By all means approach the TD. The chances are they’ll ask you to return it to them, which is a long process and not without risks. Your best alternative is to find a local watchsmith who’ll take a look at it for you. If you’re lucky the TD may contribute towards it, or may give a discount on your next purchase.
  3. Not too long hopefully (although far too long when you’re waiting!). Toro is EU so if he has stock and you’re EU then hopefully a week or so from okaying the QC photos.
  4. lol, ok. It will go back on the mesh at some stage. But for the moment I’m actually quite liking it on the engineers.
  5. It’s not your fault nor responsibility. Try turning it around and saying that some people think they are good enough to pass as gen - not condoning it but it’s a tribute to your skills.
  6. Thanks A, although it’s been on the mesh for quite a while now so I may leave on the Engineers bracelet for a bit. I also have a use for the mesh - I may pop it onto a Navitimer (once it’s been repaired).
  7. I bought this nice little Borealis a while back and never liked it on the original brown leather strap. The watch is a chunky dive watch and the brown leather didn’t suit it. I popped it onto a mesh bracelet that I had lying around and loved it for a long while, but as you do, you get bored with the same look so I found a cheap engineers bracelet on eBay - a cheap one from China to see if I liked the look. I think I do! What’s your preferred one?
  8. Exactly, if a TD cannot get one then they are not replicated. If you want to know for sure send s photo of the watch to a couple of TD’s and see what answer you get.
  9. No @Legend, you were correct in your thinking. Clearly @docthor has been receiving so much female attention wearing the pink beauty that his wife has been driven into the arms of another man. I just hope that once the watch leaves Doc that his wife will find her way home.
  10. Indeed, well said @Legend It is a pleasure to have such esteemed members join us for a while. I myself hope to learn something from them. Now, @Raddave who has the best sub
  11. Bare in mind that the chronograph uses the infamous A7750 movement. These are well known to be less reliable than non chrono movements. If you don’t play with the chrono function often it should be ok, but for a more reliable movement go for a non chrono. Just my $0.02 worth!
  12. Soooooo many Rolex, let’s have an Omega.
  13. Nice to see some familiar names appearing. Enjoy your stay guys and I hope the ‘weather’ improves for you all soon.
  14. Send a photo of what you want to a few of the TDs and see if they can help.
  15. Welcome aboard. Yes, there will be a few familiar faces here. Enjoy the forum- there are always things to learn.
  16. Franken: gen dial, bezel, insert, hands, crown and tube.
  17. Oh I like that. Old meets new in a way. I am a sucker for a nice Omega (or even a homage).
  18. We have a list of trusted dealers here. Seek and ye shall find. Then choose one of them - they are trusted for a reason.
  19. I see your Seamaster, I’ll raise you a Speedy
