I have never dealt with that platform, but it’s highly unlikely that he can keep the watch as well. I’m guessing he’s not local to you?

I do love a nice Speedy but only have 1 compared to many Seamasters. I think that the incorrect subdial spacing on the Speedy reps puts me off.

AP. What can I say about them. I craved an AP or 8. So eventually bought 4 divers: black, white, carbon and a titanium, closely followed by a Safari and a Tour Auto. Then I needed (!) a 15400 and a 15202 (or is it a 15300?)...... I still love the look of them all but they don’t get worn. Most have been sold on. I still have 3 left but that’ll change to 1 or 2 soon. Oddly, I was never bitten by the Rolex bug, instead it’s Omega for me. The fever is still strong with me after around 10 years and I must have 20 or so Omega in a mixture of rep and gen.

@NaviChief that’s lovely. I have a closed factory case from the 40th anniversary Bond that has been built into a ProPlan - hybrid Seamaster Pro case with PO bezel and second hand. Fantastic quality cases that are so close to Gen. I also have franken 2531.80 that I want to mid further. The HEV position isn’t too bad but it still bugs me so I may have the HEV removed and the hole welded up and the re-drilled in the correct position. What caseback do you have on your 40th?

Vintage Speedmaster for me. Something like an Ed White, or any Speedy with straight lugs.

I’m just playing with him now guys. He’ll accept PayPal too..... if I fund it from a credit card I shouldn’t have any issues ....... but if it seems to cheap then it inevitably is! I’m not paying but you see how some people get suckered in.

I asked for a tagged photo and received this. I’m using my phone and I’m not 100% convinced. Does this seem photoshopped? Clearly the price is too cheap for a gen but .......
