  1. Can you show a pic of the movement from the back to see whether it is a v72. You wouldn't want to buy v72 hands and dial only to realise it is an st19.
  2. ARF came with both sh3135 and eta. You could swap in a 3135 into eta but you'll need case mods, new hands and dial feet removal. Best work out how to post a pic in order to get the best advice.
  3. I assume there's still power in the system once the movement stops as resetting the hairsping gets it going again. Therefore we can assume escape wheel back is healthy? I'd be inspecting the hairspring and pallet fork pivots along with their jewels. Also the pallet fork end that contacts the impulse jewel and banking pins. Most importantly when it is in fault state wiggle the hairspring and pallet fork it may give extrta clues what's going on. The shake is likely dislodging something in that area.
  4. What is your dial size? Raffles case is def not a 1:1 and takes a larger dial than gen. If you're after correct markings/gen spec get a viet case but you'd need to get/make a movement holder for the nh.
  5. Yes it is Watches, Clothing, Parts & Accessories - RWG Take your pick of dealer. I bet your next question is "which factory makes the best sub?'
  6. That plate that’s loose I believe is decorative and sits over the balance spring. You’re right the bridge is also free so there’s likely a screw rolling around in there too. You’re in a bind now. If you send a watch off like this by mail all the bumps are likely to damage it more. I’d open it up and try reassemble to the point the balance spring and bridge are secured. Or else find a local watchmaker.
  7. Open her up with a rubber ball! From what you described I bet the case screw/tab has come off and likely jammed the rotor and maybe hairspring. Might need a service regardless after a drop but worth a look. Good luck!

  9. Ahh now we know it's a 1675 we can break it down further. I'd get another 3804 they're dirt cheap from ali. Def your best option. I've not had a noisy 2813/3804 so I reckon you just lucked out. MingZhu DG3804 Watch Movement Automatic 4 Hands 24 Hours Date Watches Repair Tool Parts Accessories|Repair Tools & Kits| - AliExpress Next best is 2836 but these run a chinese module to make them gmt so they're not exactly a huge upgrade. Plus you'd need new hands and movement holder to suit. The 3186 or modern Rolex rep gmt movements won't fit your case, will run at a noticably higher frequency for a 1675 and have an incorrect hand stack before you could even try and find suitable hands to fit. These are not a consideration. I've got a 1675 with a 3804 and it's running <+/-3secs/day. But I seriously went through 5 before I got this gem and it's been great for over 2 years. Best of luck whatever you choose!
  10. Which movement should go in is dependent on which GMT Master rep you have 1675, 16710, 126710 etc. These have certain hand stack configurations. Then the case will determine the expected rep movement. You can't stick any movement in there as they have different widths, thicknesses and stem positions. Then there are hand sizes and dial feet positions. If you have a 2813/3804 in a modern GMT then I'd throw it in the bin and buy a Clean with a proper Rolex rep movement rather than sink anymore money in a sh!tt3r.
  11. The 2813/3804 is not a bad movement but they're flakey as hell. If you don't want to get new hands, just buy at least 3 dg3804s as you'll likely break one during installation. One will run like crap. Hopefully third time lucky. I've had heaps of fun with these over the years. When you get a good one they're actually great workhorses and keep good time. I've not had a noisy rotor previously.
  12. If the main TDs can't get it I wouldn't risk it on an unknown website. Unless you're willing to wait for a m2m or a fatcory to restart production I'd go with the piece gasebah mentioned above. There's only a few mm difference. I know your heart is set on a 3800 but sometimes you need to compromise. There just isn't much of a market for small pps so I doubt you'll see much movement in this area in the future.
  13. Did you ask the AD? Some will swap. There's a few with box on C24. Just check clasp codes aren't on any of the rep clasp code registers. C24
  14. The only real give away besides the predictable serial prefix (I hear they’re moving to full random serial soon) is the nasty floating m after the 300. Still it’s great value with 95% accuracy at $500. I read last week they’ve even come out with an IWC perpetual calendar with full capability of the gen. The factories are getting very very good.
  15. Funny what you can dig up around here. Easier than building a time machine.
  16. I did about 15 years ago so as long as it is a high level query I should be able to help. Oh f%$k this question is over 15 years old too ignore me.
  17. You could get a new one for under $200 so weigh that up. Whoever you use for service could probably give you a breakdown and recommendation which is the best course.
  18. Have you dropped or banged it on something? Sounds like a broken pivot. The wheels are aligned when flat but when you tip it the wheel with the broken pivot will be off centre and inhibit movement.
  19. Yep that's the url I use. Ordered some dials last month. Shame they no longer do hands.
  20. It is always darkest right before the light. Hang in there my friend and like the others I'll be here should you want a chat. I'm a good listener. Which watch is your favorite and why? I prefer the ones I've built. Their provenance started with me and I recognize all their imperfections. They're never fully complete and as I get better at the craft I go back and tweak them.
  21. Nice dial. You should call the watch “Let’s Go Crazy”. Purple Rain is too obvious [emoji16]
  22. It's very odd where this thread is going. Over a million people died of the corona in the US over the last few years but let's laugh at how much of a hoax it was. The lack of understanding that the vaccine is only priming your body to respond to the virus and doesn't stop you getting it is also astounding. Now before you propose fatalities were inflated check the year on year total deaths in your state, country and world.
  23. Thanks for all the great advice! BUT if you want to sell the the gen or replica with the 15xx GMT conversion for 3K I'd be ready and willing! It's an odd one. I have couple frankens with great cases and dials that I'd love to put gen movements into. My rationale here is to invest in what I have instead of buying more fakery. It's probably time for me to have a gen first policy right? No need to answer that I know it's the right thing.
  24. The 3235 is based on the proven clone 3135 platform. I haven’t heard any reports of issues and it’s very serviceable. You wouldn’t want to swap it out for eta the hands are reasonably good finding the equivalent eta would be a struggle. I find the seconds hand already too short for my liking.
