Thanks Mike, I had not thought of the potential misuse of the item. Not sure if I want to sell it yet, was more curious if it was actually worth something. I guess logically I know it is since it has the name on it.....Just unsure of what value.

Don't know if this is the correct place to post this. Hi guys, doing some spring cleaning and found a genuine Rolex Box and papers from a purchase at Baron and Leeds in Maui back in 2008. I remember not being able to find the box/papers when this unit was sold a couple of years ago....Are these things (box/papers) worth anything. Found a couple on the bay, but this has the original tag, warranty card, service book, inner and outer box.....It is for a 16623 but with a black mother or pearl dial. I know who buys that....why it did not stick around long. Impulse buy. Any info?

Not a PAM guy but if I was I would buy AJ's. That is one classy time piece. Beautiful dial on that. The Explorer night watch posted looks nice also Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Zip glad to see you keep the positive attitude with this. I had similar experience before I found the forum. Bought a $1000 rep gold Daytona about 10 years ago. It actually looked like it was spray painted gold. Total POS. Went back to buying gens after that... Until I found this wonderful place a couple months ago. Bought a bunch of units in last couple of months and while non are "perfect" I am happy with all of them. Of course bought from a TD or m2m. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Classy piece there. Very nice. Love the simplicity. You can wear that with and for any occasion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Victor, other more experienced members can probably give you some direction for options in CONUS. Here is the link for the services area of the forum, unfortunately I do not think any of these folks in here are active anymore. http://www.rwgforum.net/forum/179-repairmodification-services/ The guy on RWI is out of Seattle and I am in WA state so that is why I was looking at trying him. Have not used him or anyone else yet so cannot provide any endorsements.

Hi Victor, depends where are you located. Generally you want to try and find someone that does good work but is also accessible for shipment and payment. I found a guy on another forum (RWI) who does good work but is also close to me so easy to access. He is not a TD here but is on the other forum. Where are you located?

Same here, touted "super lume" but have not been "super happy" with it. Love my BK Sub C but the lume does not last long at all. Still waiting on the TC also. I am going to end up sending all these new units in for a relume. My older BK WM9 YM actually has much better lume than the most current "super" rep versions.

Too funny jpz. Yes but not me. Guy who owned the Vette had gambling debt with some guys who don't send u to collections. They come to collect....I had been trying to buy the car from him for years and he finally called to sell it to keep himself safe. We had just built a new house so I didn't have enough cash so sold my gen sub quick to get the Vette. Missed the TT so found the rep online and bought it and liked it so 10 years later.... Matt is the Man. Probably headed his way....one last try at salvation for this unit. I does have sentimental value. There is a great story behind how and why I got this. Triangle with a gen TT Sub, a Corvette race car and this rep. The gen sub and Corvette long gone but this rep still with me. -

Love the birth year idea. I struggle with same issue. I like this one, Like that one....Did the same thing with a corvette a few years back. Had many over the years and like most models from 56-72. Was looking for another and looking at all those different years and models. Driving myself and those around me nuts...Picked birth year as starting point and bought 1966 L88 Roadster. At least by picking the year was able to narrow down the search....this is great idea for watches too. Thanks for that. I see a 1966 GMT in my future:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jpz, hope you didn't take that the wrong way. In essence I was agreeing with you. I am no expert either. I do know my current winder is set at one speed (in the middle) and turns both ways. I have had many different movements on there including gen Rolex and Omega and I have never had an issue with any of them. Generally I run it during the day and turn it off at night. I have left it running with watches in it for 2 weeks or so while on vacation and did not notice any problems. You can see slight variations in time + or - depending on the movement, but not very much. Just trying to shed some light on the topic with some of the new winder features. Found a nice 8 watch winder on the bay (bunch of feedback here on the seller) with adjustable settings for each wheel for around $400 which seems to be a good price. Found a article on the net regarding turn speeds for different movements. I will try and find it again and post the link.

Glad to hear your bracelet worked on something else. So maybe I will keep my eye out for a decent 16613 head with blue dial and insert and use my gold TT bracelet. The bracelet is actually pretty decent and polishes up nice. The real gold adds some weight/feel to it.
