be careful when you buy these "group lots" of rolex crowns on ebay. some of them may be useless and have stripped threads. read the fine print in the auction always!! And sometimes these "rolex submariner crowns" do turn out to be the old 702's and for most people are completely useless becasue of the before mentioned lack of tubes available. dizz

welcome to the forum If you search for "super sea-dweller" or "SSD" you will find everything you need. Yes this is an accurate rep and yes it is around $300 or less. The super sea-dweller has a thicker case than the submariner and so far is the only sea-dweller rep with the proper size case. You can get this watch from many of the collectors here. Mine is from Angus at Puretime i believe. cheers dizz

depends on the dealer and the specific movement in question. Some movements are harder to get in ETA thus you might get a clone instead. If its a basic submariner then yeah no problem go for the ETA.. but if its a Panerai or a watch with a 7750 chronograph movement then, BEWARE. let us know the dealer and the exact watch, and we;ll let you know what to do, OR we'll recommend what dealer to use. dizz

ive sent The Zigmeister a couple watches.. he rebuilt the slowbeat ETA on my MBW DRSD and the dial on it was also done by him previously. Watch keeps perfect time and running smooth! dizz

maybe ceramic is rare in china and worth more than gold? LOL FYI ceramic isnt an expensive material lol Last i heard, a few months ago, they were making the insert with plastic but made to "look like ceramic" or whatever that means. Hopefully they decieded to make it properly dizz
