  1. Is the thread still there or it's gone? You may have to replace the tube, or the crown... Or both! At Ofrei web site they sell these parts.
  2. Look here: http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=1601
  3. Jesus Lut... 65 pieces? Even if all reps, it's a value of more that 16k and like 13kg of stuff
  4. Yep, looks like it has some problem. Tell this to the dealer, then it's a matter of your choice: he will tell you to send it back... In such case, wearing your dress, I'd instead propose a discount on the next purchase and I'll made the watch to be serviced from a watchsmith that is replica friend (I can't suggest as I'm in Italy, and don't know where you're located). This way you'll get a proper movement (cleaned and oiled), a discount on the next purchase, and you'll not go into the hassle of sending back to China (doubling custom risks) for good money your watch remaining without it for months... Tell the watchsmith that the clone 2824 accepts gen ETA replacement parts (only difference and only for the Seagull one is at balance bridge level, which is not interested by your problem). PS: this obviously is worth if the piece you have is a good rep (let's say around or over 300$). The ones containing cheap 21j clone of the Miyota (normally called Asian 21j 21.600BPH) are not worth a service, in my humble opinion, as you can find a new caliber for like 35$.
  5. LOL, so take a Tag Calibre 36 (rep). I got it las Monday and wearing it from 2 days: it's amazing, but it's a bloody chunk of heavy steel. Put it on the company internal post office scale and it was 220g (0,49 pounds)!!
  6. Thanks Hike, now I'll remember you not only for your avatar picture
  7. It is not important the brand of the watch, but the movement. Standard ETA 2824 in this case (Asian clone is the same). Unscrew the crown from the tube (counterclockwise ), when it's fully out rotate clockwise to wind. Do not force! If it is blocked make a watchsmith to service it. The clicks you hear rotating counterclockwise are normal, it's the winding system clutch doing its work. By the way, IF you wear it, doesn't it start running after few minutes?
  8. Stay far away from watches with Secs@6 subdial. They're timebombs because of the design of Chinese implementation of 7750 sec@6 transfer gears, if it's a caliber 7750 stick with watches with sec@9. And it's a bloody sin (how much i'd like to get an IWC portuguese...)
  9. Give a look at this stunning piece here: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/161542-omega-seamaster-300m-ceramic-black-a-review-finally/ Not a chrono, but you gain in reliability, and mate, it's a wonderful piece... It's this one: http://www.pf-818.com/om300m101-2012-seamaster-300m-ssss-black-swiss-p-14487.html About your links: 1st and 2nd are exactly the same watch, so it's just a matter of TD choice. The other 2 @Puretime also looks incredibly similar, but one has a better pearl but bad hands... I'd ask Angus @ puretime what's the difference or if it's a double entry of the same watch...
  10. http://nationalinterest.org/commentary/the-five-best-submarines-all-time-9728 KN, I think you're joking... Correct? Otherwise TC, BK, Noob (if don't plan to do a franken) or BP (if you plan to do a franken).
  11. This one with diamonds? http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_6&products_id=11014
  12. Asked the dealer in advance He told me you can easily remove them with pliers
  13. AAah, Mymanmatt ones, they're grates. But I'm in EU and I'd be [censored] scared to get pieces directly from there Italian customs are strict...
  14. Uh... What is a mattjust? Lacking of English slang
  15. These are gen pics mate Got mine yesterday and didn't manage to shot it yet Lol, I was searching the rose gold one and wasn't available The one with the Brown sec @9 is the SS gen-like one. The rose gold and platinum ones are like yours. Lovely watches!
  16. 2824-2 and 2836-2 are both ETA calibers. So referring to "Swiss 2836-2" actually means "gen ETA 2836-2". And yes, in my view it's not worth of money: you can get an asian clone of them (see in this GREAT thread the differences between gen and clones -> http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=26623 ) and, in case it breaks down in 1 or 2 years and you value to spend those 200$ saved before for the same watch, then swap it for a new fresh Sellita SW20x (again another gen to gen comparison here -> http://watchflipr.com/movements/sellita-sw200-vs-eta-2824-2/) In any case, and again in my humble opinion, the best idea is not to spend 180$ for a "kind of" gen ETA but just 100$ for servicing the asian clone when you receive the watch, making it as reliable as the (fresh) gen
  17. I got my St. Exupery 3717 rep just yesterday Older model respect 3777 but still a great piece (real colors like in 2nd pic below). Oh well, except that it needs some fix (it has this problem -> http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=2722&hl )
  18. Hi Pan, thanks for all these valuable info! Anyway I was referring to the theories telling that the airplane was the same one disappeared (and not yet found) few months ago from the same air company.
  19. True story. But, as all dealers, he can source also pieces not showed in his site (or being out of stock of pieces that in the site are shown as in stock, I know something about this...) so the key is always to ask before to make the order and pay.
