  1. Eta now are practically a myth. As said dozen of times Eta stopped selling calipers on the free market in 2010. After 4 years it would be a real miracle to get a proper Swiss eta not mixed with Asian parts (clone and gen are 99 to 100% composed by exchangeable parts). I have had 2 Asian gmt rollie (BP factory production from Dec 2013 and may 2013) and both were ok. But in both cases the key is to service them (read my link In the signature...) since they were dry of oil. And this applies to "Swiss eta" too, unless not inside a gen fresh production watch. So... If you want get the "eta", but then don't be frustrated if you post here the movement picture and we say it's a clone If you want a real fresh Swiss movement then you must go for a Sellita, but very few models, by now, have them. What upper is by the way for the BP factory. Noob one's may have real eta inside as, for what I got, they also produce high level Chinese gens...
  2. Go for the Asian eta. There is really no point in paying more for the same thing...
  3. Lol, I'd like to be able to get fake signs like you do... They seems all the same to me
  4. If, and I mean IF a watch is available (so ask before to him) Andrew (www.ttw888.com) is generally ultra fast. Did the order on Friday night, got qc pics on Sunday, accepted the same day, and the piece was on my desk, in Milano (IT) Wednesday evening (FedEx shipping)
  5. I'm not saying that Josh (or Andrew) are bad: imagine I'm waiting my 3rd watch from Andrew I'm just saying that looks like they have some controversy with noob factory, so for that pieces you have to go to another dealer (Toro or Puretime for example, that have good relationship with noob)
  6. Good advises guys, thanks. I think this has been triggered by the post on golf killing mechanical watches on the other RWG
  7. Puretime (Angus) is a good man and a watch-lover other than a seller. You can go for it. And yes, Noob factory is one of the best. But, still, you'd better compare gen pictures with the rep pictures at Angus's site (whose new domain is www.pure-time.com) to be absolutely sure that the watch will fit your desire. He recently came back to posting on the forum with a great value posts like this: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/149260-puretimes-mechanics-within-the-replica-watch-industry-v11-updated/ and this (posted today): http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/171893-puretimes-mechanics-within-the-replica-watch-industry-part-2-qs-answered-why-arent-simpledress-watches-repped/ Just remember to ask him (by mail, not here on the forum) if the model you would like to buy is available. Cheers, GenTLe PS: and read the thread I have in my signature, will save you from a lot of headaches!
  8. If you are ultraquick (I mean like ship the watch tomorrow with express shipping) contact Sunnydale on RWI forum (write him in both PM and in the main thread here: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=176761&page=19 ) OPS... Seeing now it was a request from January...
  9. The fading bezel problem was about BP ones, not Noob Not sure if they resolved the problem now.
  10. Jann, torniamo all'Inglese, non è il caso di parlare Italiano su un forum multinazionale... (Jann, let's go back to English: it's un-polite to speak in Italian on a multicountry environment). Please read the first 2 posts of the link in my signature below and you'll know more or less everything you need to know. For 1st purchase I'd go for TrustyTime (www.ttw888.com): quick, effective and with PayPal payment active. Just don't forget to ask Andrew (the guy owning that site) if the watch you want is available BEFORE to order and pay for it. But, in any case, I'd read the posts here for at least 1 week before to do the 1st purchase. Ciao, GenTLe
  11. I was too much uncertain this morning on which one to put. So I went for this: (sorry for the shi_ty quality...) Gh! Found a nice box waiting for me in the office
  12. I hope so: it's the one I bought But made the order yesterday from Italy, and the watch will arrive in 3 weeks, so I will be able to put all together at the end of month
  13. I got one of these: leather with sailcloth texture: http://bradystraps.com/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=53&=SID
  14. Well for sure:) Mine is a v-twin too, but 1 liter x 127HP and surely less viiibbbrrrrraaaaattttioooonnnnsssss
  15. Here the best sub: Welcome Here it's quite different from the other RWG (can't really say about RWI). For example it's better to keep a civil and not-rude writing, and you can't send someone to [censored] because that [censored] wrote [censored] ( )
  16. Same question here... Mike, tell us (also tell us your bike: a thing is going around with a 4-inline another is on a hardtail chopper)
  17. Do they have ANY vague idea on what is a transponder, how the radar control works etc etc? So true!
  18. Bulls_it. The twins have something against Noob factory so they say things like this all the time, when it comes to Noob. The reality is that they can't get noob stuff. There is NO problem with the noob LMPO, actually it's the most precise timekeeper between my pieces Go for ToroBravo.
  19. Thanks Night I forgot to mention that I also took a Citizen (sapphire glass, solar chrono) from Creation W for my lady, after she managed to loose her brand new "Guess" (that I paid) taking it out from the wrist after I screamed her "IT'S NOT A FUC_IN' SUB WATCH!!!" while she was entering in Atlantic Ocean in Portugal...: No problem for the hex screws: I'm a long timer "do-it-you-own" guy and in my lab I've from the 1mm hex key to the 210Nm (154ft lbs) torque wrench, as like from the micro drill to the 55J jackhammer And all in metric sizes as I'm in Italy
  20. Really nice, a pilot with some touches of Bauhaus I'd say
  21. When I see these mistakes I always wonder how the heck the factories do them: we're not speaking about 1mm crown guard which can be a mess to reproduce, but a damn easy thing to check before production...
  22. Com'on Martin, look better 9th object -> http://www.ebay.com/itm/20mm-22mm-New-Stainless-Steel-Brushed-Watch-Band-Buckle-Deployment-Clasp-PAN-/161172393962?pt=US_Watch_Bands&var=&hash=item6b2af58689
  23. NOTE: pics from the web, majority from gen pieces So, in Jan I got a cheapy bad Cartier in Instambul, and I didn't know a fu_k about watches and reps, except that I liked them a lot since I was a child. Since I in any case needed a nice watch as my old Casio is worn-out like hell, I purchased a gen Junkers 6060-5 (Bauhaus styile) powered by a Miyota 9132 28.8kBPH Then I discover this forum, read here and there for one week and finally went for my fist good rep, a Pam164 from Andrew My Polish lady pushed me a lot to get a gen Gerlach one, done in memory of the most famous transatlantic ship done in Italy and docked in Gdynia, so I purchased this one: I loved the taste of wearing a well done, heavy watch, so I started to read about calibers, ordered a watchsmith book and pulled the trigger for another repped one, a Pro-Hunter GMT II (at that point my liking for the Rollies wasn't yet done: they looked pretty too commons for me). Over this a nato black nylon strap that fits the watch very well... Where to put them? So let's get a 10 pieces boxes with display from eBay... Then I discovered the RWG shop and placed and order for 200$ horological tools, while on Amazon I've already ordered an ultrasound cleaning machine and some other little stuff... Then I started to get Torobravo's quality and got a repped Calibre de Cartier and a fantastic noob Omega POLM from him. And, finally I said to my self "ok, last bunch of watches and then I'll stop for sometime". Well that bunch went far over my prevision.... So I'm waiting now: - A Bradystrap sailcloth-like leather strap for Noob Blancpain FF - A Bomber Jacket Leather Watch Band Strap for Tudor BB - Another watch box And these ones: From Sead: [ From Trevor: From ToroBravo: Seriously, I fu_kin' need to break for a while... At least until October I need a break... Not from the forum. But for sure from the purchase... It's just too easy and quick to throw money
