  1. What is the difference from a 510? Because your description is for exactly a 510 one...
  2. Uhm, jewels normally don't need to come out (ok, we can discuss about the balance arbor ones): you clean the plate with them on and in case of gummy deposit you use a sharpened peg wood stick...
  3. Ok, so I got this clone A2836 GMT II. A spare movement. I decided to try on it my first service task. Sorry I didn't start taking pictures of the hands, dial and rotor removal... 1) once I took out the rotor, the next step is the auto winding bridge: This is the movement once the autowind parts have been removed (the ratchet wheel is not damaged like it seems on this pic, that one is a kind of reflex...) 2) took away the barrel bridge, balance bridge with balance and the train wheels bridge. Clearly visible the pallet fork (under the pallet bridge) in the lower part, the escape wheel, the intermediate wheel at top center and, upside down in the center, the cannon pinion with driving wheel Note: here I nearly did a disaster: I completely forgot to operate on the click to release the mainspring force and, when I removed the barrel bridge, it nearly "exploded" and started spinning on the table like crazy 3) lower side part now fully unassembled: 4) movement rotated and let's start to work on the GMT, date wheel and keyless: 5) All is gone, except the keyless levers: 6) ok, now ALL is gone 7) the result: Had to say that I learned that proper tools, even apparently simple stuff like the pliers, MAKE a BIG difference, when they are quality ones!!! The toolkit and other things I had from RWGShop in this sense helped me quite a lot About the caliber: it was inside a BP GMT2 rollie. IT was actually lubricated, but all with the same oil and sometimes over-oiled (like below the cannon pinion) Lubrification and reassembly at next episode
  4. I seriously doubt that a "standard" watchsmith (especially one that works on gens) will be able to mod your rep. They works relying on spare parts to change, not on drilling plates etc... I may be wrong, but very few persons are able to do such kind of activity.
  5. Asked Toro: not yet. Only version 6 (with wrong dial @6) for now.
  6. Hi Mate, what about one of these (you can select the full SS ones inside the object page)? http://stores.ebay.com/linamarket/FOR-TUDOR-/_i.html?_fsub=737791019&_sid=1043351479&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 Or eventually: http://www.ebay.com/itm/17mm-20mm-NEW-Stainless-Steel-Watch-Bands-Bracelets-Curved-end-Used-Rol-/161127628087?pt=US_Watch_Bands&var=&hash=item6b2ca2da00
  7. Ahahah, Ezio, on eBay it's plenty of them, from 10 to 30€ each one
  8. They are nice and have at least 25 years. But still... I'm really having difficult to read the time there. Any suggestion? Should I lume them?
  9. Thanks WM, any way it has a big flaw (that I have seen only after some week from purchase): the sec @6 dial is located in a different position respect to the gen. See here: In this moment the watch is in 3 different countries - Glass should be in Finland @Sunnydale for an AR treatment - caliber should be @SSteel (Finland too if I remember right...) for a service & cleanup - dial and hands should be @KeNnY in Slovakia to relume like the pic below (the 4 greenish/jellowish lume spots on the rep dial are too bad, regardless the wrong color and weak luminosity)
  10. Someone used it and they got a watch that had been cleaned and lubricated. On the other hand, I'd prefer to stick to my trusty watchsmith here in IT (until I'll be able to do by my self)
  11. Dunno... I took them on a picture in 2004 in Stockholm (went there alone by motorbike from Italy.... Maybe I was already searching for the best sub without even knowing it my self )
  12. Screwdrivers, latex (with no talco) gloves or finger covers, dial protector, hands remover, pliers (good sharp ones), duct tape (or case opener).
  13. The infamous best sub question... Get one of these:
  14. Hi guys, let me get this: how the stem is fitted within the crown?
  15. I don't know... Maybe they are both run from the same person. Who is Trailboss, moderator at RWG.bz
  16. Good that you've been able to take the screw out of the hair spring without messing it up (it's the most delicate part of the watch!) So now know you why I always say that it's better to service these movements
  17. Just in case, give a look here: http://shop.homage-watches-guide.com/ It's the inner shop of the other RWG
  18. So I'm feeling lucky that I found a guy (and ond friend, we were boyscouting together back in the teen age) that did mine for 70€ (94US$)
  19. Uhm, it looks similar to this one, but I'm not getting that 14k gold... And the Crown and dial are different: http://www.chrono24.com/en/concord/b2-diamond-18k-yellow-gold-quartz-watch--id2780675.htm Oh, here we are: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ladies-14k-Yellow-Gold-Concord-Quartz-w-72ct-Round-Diamond-Bezel-/350985586317?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item51b85f068d
