i see fingerprints.. I always use a microfiber cloth before taking pics of my beauties. Or is your smudge beneath your crystal?? that would suck if that were the case

yes It was the glue compound.. that i mixed.... It was cheap.. and i bought it at the Bazaar shop next door. I sent my watch off to Jay yesterday and he said he'll replace it if it's in perfect condition.. or fix it. Either free of charge... I'll be missing my watch for a couple days.. but it's a solution that might just get me a NEW watch!!
-
question you should've asked BEFORE ordering your watch!!!!
-
i gotta get one of these!
-
true.. a difference of $160 on a $428 watch is not horribly signficant.. although quite a bit more appealing. I've read the stories of the 21k 7750... i guess it would be better to stay away from it at ALL costs... But doesn't someone have to be a guinea pig??

You should definitely search for this topic. I've appeared in many threads and topics discussing my pleasurable dealings with Jay at Silix-prime as well as my WONDERFUL PAM253. My PAM253 is probably my favorite watch.. It's very solidly made and looks absolutely stunning.. apart from the sans sarif font on the '1' on the 3 o'clock subdial, the slightly too thin '12' and '6', as well as the outer number ring on the dial that shouldn't be flush with the rehaut.. the watch is a 95% perfect from a common observer's perspective. My recent problem has been the CG... one night after a hard night of partying i came home to find that my Crown Gaurd was loose because one of the two screws had fallen out. i was able to get this fixed with a glasses screw that quasi fit.. well about 3 weeks ago.. both remaining screws fell out. I talked to silix about it and he immediately sent me new screws.. but unfortunately his screws were too short.. I explained the problem again to him and he promptly replied that i should send the watch back and he will have his watchmaker replace my screws personally or he'll replace my watch with a new one free of charge (he'll also replace if it gets lost in customs). Not bad service at all if you ask me. I sent my watch into him today and hope to get it back sometime soon. Nothing but great things to say about Jay. Never bought from anyone else besides silix-prime.. although Andrew has given me an $80 credit as a result of something regarding a deal between him and my dad. Jay is outstanding (although sometimes a little slow to respond to emails... hehe) p.s. my personal PAM253

sounds like they could be onto something... since AR isnt a necesity to me.. and I have no personal experience with the old 7750.. i might go for this! I'll wait till a real picture of the watch comes out though.

Since it's technically September 10th here in beautiful Madrid, Spain.. I will start this week's wrist check!!! Here goes!!: (pictures taken at the moment of starting this thread) Here's my beautiful wrist being guarded by my SFSO p.s. Anyone know why most abbreviate this thing as SFSO commonly.. but it should technically be SOSF (Superocean Steelfish) :-) rubix cubing it.. (you noticed i still haven't solved the damn thing) On my skin: SIMPLY Luscious!

Official Hublot site showing josh/andrews pics
plaifender replied to P4GTR's topic in General Discussion
I don't believe this is any new News for andrew, josh or any of the other dealers. Knowing their business and the products they sell... the most important part of the business is staying hidden. Their business is very anonymous and altlhough their website and cyber identities are readily available to anyone that has internet access.. their physical activity and actual identities are well hidden beneath a good layer of protection I'm sure of it. Not saying that i don't think they should always be on the look-out but i'm sure andrew and josh were one of the first to probably see that hublot among others is watching. -
I've already asked my Dealer at Silix to send me replacement screws. he sent me six screws but they're about .5mm too short!! He said he'll keep looking for more.. but he already took over a month to get me the first six... MORE waiting.. i guess. I guess i was just wondering if anyone around on the forum had any spares just "lyin around" haha. I see that's not the case though... I'm gonna check the electronics store tomorrow.. and also another eyeglass shop. Anyone know the length of the CG screws for the pam253? I know that its diameter is 2mm.
-
Ok.. so after a long debate of whether or not i should glue my CG back on to my watch after losing the screws.. I decided to do it. I bought some Metal glue and followed the instructions carefully. After 24 hours of not touching my watch.... I put it on today and the CG is still LOOSE!!! I need some CG screws BADLY! Anyone have ANY idea where I can find some? I've been to three watch shops here in madrid.. but no one's been any help. I've also been to an optical shop.. no help there either. Let me know of ideas!

Don't believe I've ever posted any wristshots of me and the GTXL: VOICI les vous avez!: back from work: the close-up:

Comparison of Gen & Rep SuperOcean Steelfish X-Plus
plaifender replied to alanytical's topic in The Breitling Area
whatever small "faults and tells" can you name besides the two that have already been mentioned? Being: the pearl, and the non-perfect date-font. (lack of AR on Asian model) And on the stainless steel bracelet version: the rounded bracelet screws.. -
Although, I can't relate to the loss of a parent. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathies to you and your family during this hard time. -ryan "Matthew 10:29-31" "His eye is on the sparrow" Why should I feel discouraged Why should the shadows come Why should my heart fell lonely And long for heaven and home When Jesus is my portion A constant friend is he His eye is on the sparrow And I know he watches over me His eye is on the sparrow And I know he watches me

Not entirely correct.. the Helium valve is used to release Helium from your watch is ever subjected to deep sea diving atmospheres such as hyperbaric chambers or diving chambers (don't know who said it.. but diving bells are NOT used in modern times) where the atmosphere would be heavily mixed with helium gas because Oxygen at high pressures below sea level is very narcotic.... helium is smaller than oxygen and therefore can seap into most seals of any watch.... the valve is designed to release this helium that seaps into the watch.

divide.. divide.. divide.... whatever happened to.... unity unity unity. Moderators should change their title to Mediators.. then we could have peer counseling sessions held right here on the forum. It would save a lot of us the crap loads of money we spend on our shrinks

Just wondering what kind of demographics we have going on around here. What age group do most folks around here apply to: To make things a bit more conspicuous we'll use the following system: Group1 (1-18) Group2 (19-25) Group3 (26-35) Group4 (36-45) Group5 (46-55) Group6 (56-65) Group7 3 times older than me...
