  1. I guess... but to be honest with you... 95% of the people in the states that are 6'9" and can dunk basketballs aren't playing professional.. and that's a fact. it takes more than height to make that much money... keep dreaming......
  2. which car? the veyron is definitely a much finer ride.. and a much greater design.....
  3. that's amazing... to be that rich.... But after reading this article: http://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/news/jay_z.html , I guess there were 100 of the watches produced.. not 20. The amount of money these guys make is obscene.. i remember an interview with Tyrese (a singer) and he told a story about losing a $75,000 platinum chain in a lake while he was wakeboarding or something like... i'd love to be the scuba diver that finds that peice of jewelry! Tyrese didn't even look for it.. he simply bought a new one the next day... haha
  4. Chubbchubb, maybe you are old... but I still can't imagine any rapstars having that bad of taste..... the common practice is to take a fairly nice watch... navitimer or bentley for breitling and slam about 30,000 dollars worth of diamonds onto every square inch of the watch... a clown-master is just plain ugly to start with.. Well i guess the jacob & co. primary colors are ALMOST as ugly as this watch....
  5. FUgly
  6. yeah the navitimer is great, but not nearly as accurate as the Breitling Superocean Steelfish or the Chronomat Evolution.. A navitimer is also a lot more "eye-catching" and could attract more attention than wanted.. especially if she is going to say that it is "real"...
  7. if you're going to blatantly say that it's real.. you have to get the Breitling Superocean.. don't see anyone ever calling you out on that watch.. maybe not even most authorized dealers....
  8. wow.. this is actually impressive.. if there's over 20 numbers.. that's actually makes the reps more unique than i thought
  9. haha.. not sure if i agree with your opinion on white guys looking right trying to rap.. Some of my favorite rappers are white and they look fine... that being said.. they don't talk about watches in their videos either.. usually more political and socio-economic issues.. (french rap group IAM is very mixed.. along with fonky family and other favorites of mine). Rolling around in watches just looks ridiculous.. white, black, brown or yellow... Although i guess rolling around in rolexes and APs isn't quite the same as a giant pile of timex watches....
  10. well said pug
  11. NOOO don't do it.. let's let the demand drop so prices follow
  12. hope all goes well Daver. I don't swim with watches unless it's my digital Timex Atlantis. otherwise i feel like they're a nuissance.. i've also lost a watch before in a lake.... Hopefully they will replace it for you. I LOVEEEEEE your avatar by the way.. i'm probably the biggest jimi hendrix fan I know.. i have 34 jimi hendrix cds total... (total includes box sets and 3 disk sets). plus dvds: Monterey live, Woodstock live, and rare clips of Winterland Live as well as the movie titled "Jimi Hendrix". haha a musical legend...
  13. Ok.. i'm not a huge fan of Jay-z but I'm pretty attentive when it comes to song lyrics.. I would never post this if any hip-hop artist used the words.. Rolex.. or Navitimer... but this is the first time i've ever heard and seen an Audemars (maybe ROO) mentioned in a rap video. Also an aray of gold watches and jewelry that beyonce is rolling around on the floor in. Some daydates and datejusts from what it looks like.. not sure. check out minute 3:15 "But everywhere we are You sure to see stars This is high level Not our level [My best suit] courtesy of Audemars" Almost positive that Jay-z does not say "my best suit", but says "my bezel". All the lyrics websites say best suit.. but he holds his watch and then points towards the bezel after saying the line... check it out.. beyonce is always a pleasure.. no matter how ridiculous her dancing and video concepts are...
  14. congrats

  19. excellent. I'll check the junk mail bin. I completely agree with you arminvanburen.. jay IS the best dealer around.. that's why i wanted to know if you knew anything recent of him. Thanks for letting me know coolfire. Didn't know that Jay was in the middle of renovating his apartment. Hopefully I'll hear something soon.
  20. It's interesting.. but i'm with ryannon on this one: BUGATTI VEYRON! It's got all the right curves and uniqueness to set it apart from the blue shelby beast. see the veyron at work: part 1 Part 2
  21. I'm very patient usually, and since Jay is my dealer of choice I've grown accustomed to his tardy correspondence. But i must admit, that it is highly unusual for him to take soo long to respond to an email.. It's almost been 6 days since i wrote the email... still no response.. even after i sent a pleasant remind this weekend.... Anyone heard from Jay? Hope he's not sick or anything.
  22. cool watch!! never heard of it, but i'm no history buff on watches.... edit: just looked at aeromatic's website... it looks like these watches are sold on its website for between $120 and $200US. Seems like a fairly cheap watch to deem "reppable".... Silix must be selling genuines...?
  23. Ok pug, you win. ipods rule. despite their normally short life and firmware hiccups
