  1. I'm no big bang expert. I bought it from another board member for a great price. I loved the watch but it just wasn't for me, so I sold it right after i bought it. HBB's (Hublot Big Bang) are really eye catching, i didn't feel comfortable wearing it. You can get the standard HBB stainless steel for around 300usd these days. About 2 years ago, Hublots had an explosion and the reps costed from anywhere between 400 to 1200 bucks! They are VERY accurate watches in general. If you get one, you won't be disappointed. All the dealers carry them. Try puretimewatch.com they usually have decent prices, but most dealers will be able to get the HBB stainless steel
  2. Ahhh!! it's a gen! no wonder it looks sooo perfect conrats mickey!!
  3. That's why you shouldn't buy a watch the first day you join the site!! I hope you didn't get scammed. There's too much information on this website already for you to get scammed.. there's really no good reason you should with a little patience!
  4. So yes, your package is shipping from spain. When the number ends in ES it stands for "ESPAÑA" CN=China. When did you get the shipping number? It's not showing up on the spanish tracking website, but it's understandable if it was just mailed today. It usually takes a day for it to post online here in spain.
  5. depends on the "Asian fish". My first fish was an asian and was EXACTLY like my swiss fish with the exception of single AR. Heres the old Asian (from early 2007): here's my current swiss fish: Literally no difference except for Ared crystal To my understanding though.. the old batch 2006/2007 asian steelfishes are hard to get now. now most of them have arrow hands and sometimes incorrect crown.
  6. if it's a spanish tracking number you should be able to track it from spain using http://www.correos.es/eng/13-menurec2/01-menurec21/2010_c1-localizadore.asp once it arrives in the U.S. the same number should work in the USPS online tracking system
  7. don't use capecod near rubber.... it will destroy it. If I were you I'd take the plunge and take out the crystal. really only takes about 3 - 4 minutes to take out a movement.. even less if you're experienced.. Once the movement and dial are out of the watch, most crystals will pop out with a little pressure from inside the case. What kind of watch is it?
  8. Send a private to either 'KB' or 'Admin' (they're both administrators on the forum), story is long, and i'm sure there are some posts around here somewhere. They'll be able to tell you what you wanna know
  9. Which hublot are you referring to???? I posted 3 pics of different hublots on my wrist or do you mean Hublots in general??
  10. Best way would be to take a photo and post it up here, but more than likely the movement is a DG2813 movement. easily found on offrei's site.
  11. complicated as I understand it. but no worries.. by gones be by gones.. we're all here now and that's what matters!! Welcome back home! Heard rep geek has server problems again.. Word on the street is that the admins are not paying their bills.... but who knows what happened...
  12. big problem in the states is the cost of wine though. It's considered a luxury item there... Here in spain what would be considered "good wine" in america would cost me $5.00usd at the local market.. When I was working in Massachusetts the restaurant I worked at had an Italian Chianti called "Ruffino". It was our least expensive wine and we sold it for 50usd. Two months later I moved to Perugia, Italy and was in the supermarket one day and to my surprise looked to my right and saw a bottle of "Ruffino" on the supermarket shelf being sold for 4.00€!!!
  13. awesome looking watch! is there a genuine version of this? looks like quality!
  14. some more info.... Do you happen to have any ideas for her? Or you just want a random rep with black dial.. Price point? Style? Accuracy? Does she want a well known brand? Classic, or more modern design? If she doesn't care what it is. Go for a Rolex newer explorer. Look great on a woman's wrist in my opinion
  15. Welcome back! haha.. the "new" rwg. Since RWG 2 didn't launch till 06.. you can't really have been a member HERE since '04... even though the original Replica-watches-guide shares many common members.. I wouldn't venture to call it the same site
  16. Hearing americans talk about wine.. and it's "luxury" price tags.... is alot like hearing spanish people talking about Harleys..... A nice Ribera del Duero like Bodega Abadia Retuerta 2006 is good if not possibly better quality than 90% of the wine coming out of napa and costs 15 euros (around 20 bucks or maybe 50 bucks form Reserva Especial 2003 or 2004) (which is a fairly expensive for a reserve wine in spain) This is of course not counting "grail" wines that our highly sought and limited production from wineries that are highly specialized or even out of business. But then again, wine production in spain versus one small valley in california has no comparison.
  17. Bienvenido amigo mio. Big shout out from Madrid, Spain. Glad to see you mustered up the courage to say hello! Any watches yet, or still pondering?
  18. this community is the best
  19. really.. he's left RG??? uh-oh I have a pending order with him as well. I'll contact him on his spanish forum
  20. oops.. I just answered my own question! you heard of Paco Torres from me!!! Since you're in north america.. why don't you hit up the Zigmeister? He's the "industry" standard around here, and does miracles for much higher prices, but his work has never been questioned.
  21. Francisco is also in spain Paco Torres... where did you get his info???? Didn't know anyone on this forum had ever used him. He doesn't work with email and only deals on the phone. He doesn't speak english so you'd need a translator for paco. He works miracles and is cheap as all [censored]. He owns a small watch repair shop in Granada spain. A whole 2824 movement overhaul, disassembly, cleaning, lubrication and reassembly will run less than 25euros usually! He even replaces parts on eta movements. Can't say the same for A7750 parts though.. not sure. Good luck finding someone in england, i'm sure there's someone somewhere!
  22. Any chance you'll make a few of these!!!! I'd love one!
  23. Welcome! You should care what it costs!! start reading and wait a few weeks before you decide to buy. Chinese new year is in a couple weeks, and if you order now, be prepared to WAIT a while to receive. Best to wait to order a watch till after the chinese holiday since all the dealers will be away on holidays! If I were you I'd start looking at PAMS, Royal Oak Offshores and Hublots. some of the chunkiest watches around. The DSSD is also VERY chunky Here's my chunkier collection (all 44mm or 45mm in diameter).. (just got rid of this bad boy ) My favorite Not a chrono but the Deep Sea Sea Dweller is super chunky This one is a huge 48mm. Hublot Big Bang King power: Big Bang Stainless Steel (no longer with me): Rose Gold Hublot Big Bang Tuiga V1 (unfortunately not with me any longer) IWC TopGun V2 on my wrist (not my watch though ) My Panerai 253 on Toscana Carbon Fiber So there's most of my biggest watches, anything look good to you!!???
  24. +1 also... why would they go "backwards" and install mineral crystal?
  25. pete.. the 253 looks GREAT. I think i'll be upgrading mine to the new version in the next few months as well! you wouldn't happen to have any calipers and willing to remove your crystal to take measurements would you. AS far as I know.. no one has removed the crystal from one of these new 253s yet.. I'd love to get measurements, to make sure it's compatible with previous models. Especiallly if I plan on buying this version! but even more importantly for everyone else that is interested in my sapphire crystal but also in this brand new version.
