Don't know how I ever missed this post! This watch has been on my list for a couple years.. and I finally bit the bullet. It should be arriving to me in a couple days.. Here's a bump just for your beautiful pictures....
-
Get a Carbon fiber strap for it and you're set! Looks beautiful!
-
His watch is definitely a chrono model.. i would venture to say a normal Stainless steel bezel chrono model....
-
ahhh.. i get the concept. I don't have a tester nor have I seen one in action.. i misread your comment as if you were saying.. that submerging a watch in water and seeing bubbles come out was ok... But i understand that if the inside of the watch is already pressurized to a pressure higher than the surrounding water.. then the bubbles coming out are being forced out and not pushed out by the water.. Thanks for that educational moment! dumbasses like me sometimes need enlightening..

jeez.. coming soon.. it should be here in the next few days! i'm excited!

haha.. yes.. not to mention that the term "V6" was even being thrown into the mix a few months ago.... We DSSD owners almost have it as bad as the Submariner guys. The PAM253 is also on it's 4th or 5th version currently.. but to the factories.. they will sell whatever watch under whichever name sells more. The new V4 pams are sold as V3s since v3s have been sold as the "best version" for the last 3 years...

not ok... put an empty can down in a bucket of water.. tilt it 45degrees.. and you'll see bubbles start to rise... take out the can and you'll notice that water is inside. simple displacement. If air is coming out.. it's because water is coming in. It doesn't work any other way. But in theory yes.. if the watch is not submerged directly in the water(i.e. in a plastic bag in the water) the watch should be perfectly safe.

Yet another "I just received my UPO" thread
plaifender replied to cbrendan's topic in The Omega Area
+1!! The UPO is the best watch to modify hands down. Parts are easy to find and 95% of parts fit perfectly. The only downside is that by the time all franken parts have been bought and installed.. you could have bought a genuine for just a few hundred dollars more. Everything but the Bezel is interchangeable. The bezel insert is possible with some filing/sanding.. but the bezel itself won't fit without some machining... Bottomline. You've got the best of the best, one thing you will HAVE to get changed eventually is the crown and crown tube. It seems that 85% of all UPO's i hear of end up getting stripped crowns/crown tubes. My watch crown stripped a couple of months ago. I'm waiting for a gen crystal to arrive next week.. and will be changing everything all at once. If ou got any Cbrendan.. don't hesitate to shout a holler to me or anyone of us here on the forum on how the process. The tube WILL strip eventually.. whether in 6 months or 2 years.. but it will happen eventually! -

Pretty sure that all of the V5+ versions push inwards. Even if it didn't push inward, I'd send it off to get waterproofed and pressure tested from one of the modders here before believing what they say on the dealer websites.... When it comes to water and watches, I don't mess around!

Hey guys, I just got an email from Ally, who claims to be an ex employee of Mark and Time-shops. She sent me the following email: How're you doing now? This is Ally, ever followed your orders when i worked for timeshops.net. Now I'm working in the watch market where timeshop purchase its goods, selling same items (wristwatches, designer handbags, fashion accessories). For most handbags/wallets, price is $30-$50 cheaper than timeshops's. If you have anything to buy or want to know some information about this market, you can contact me with this email address: ally_liuliu@hotmail.com or skype:allyliuliu. I'm always online. Due to this company I m working for mostly deal with Chinese dealers, they haven't got an English website yet, any item you want to check pls send me URL link(from timeshops or any other websites) or goods photoes, I will try to give you quick response. If this mail bothers you, Pls forgive me and mark it as spam. Wish you have nice shopping here!!! Thanks & Best Regards! Ally Not sure if I wanna be the guinea pig but sounds enticing...

My regards, and my apologies. I had never heard of you sending qc photos before shipping the watch, and don't recall you doing so in the past. Is this a new practice? In any case, I apologize for painting your methods to be something they're not. I recognize and accept that you're one of the most reputable dealers on this forum, and that says alot by itself, regardless of whether or not you have drop shipped in the past, present or future! Keep up the good work Josh

hahahahahaha.. it's so true
-
awesome find! very cool
-
To answer your question directly.. NO there is not a more accurate insert out there now. Your watch looks beautiful to me. And for a DSSD, I'd say that it's beautifully modded, since you don't find many modded DSSD's out there to begin with p.s. your crystal is invisible. Nice shot!

hahaha. Smuggling parts out at night and assembling our super reps in homes? If this is INDEED true... the rep factories are obviously more well informed on the subject than us. Traditionally.. in any business, if a product gets pulled from production it's directly related to its SALES.. If everyone and their mother already has the best rep ever produced (the sosf in question) then I'm sure that factories have seen a decline in sales over the years... By spare fish parts.. you're referring to Gen parts?

looks great. But just because Josh says he personally will be checking all of "THESE" hbb's doesn't mean he checks every watch he sends. Josh is too big anyways NOT to dropship. He sells more watches in a week than many others probably sell in a month. He's an amazing dealer, but let's not open the can of worms on whether or not he dropships!
