New pics updated as promised. I polished the watch with dremel buffing wheels and white SS jewelers rouge and all I can say is wow. I'm very happy with this piece. Had the watch serviced, and the dial and hands relumed. No more wandering lume dots for me. The steel is magnificent after a good polish. You can't look directly at the watch! Closer, lume is perfect, thats Zig for you. not much to be said here. 15 seconds exposure, because its fun! Even in broad daylight you can see the lume has absorbed the light like a sponge.

But a good one! I'm sitting here drinkin and reading RWG, low and behold look what thread pops up.

The Scuderia 22 is, well.. exceptionally beautiful.

great shots, theres so much talent lurking around here. I feel like im the only one that praises the quick tweaking tools built into windows. This took 2 min, using the orig's...

Patek never really "hit" me. I've never taken to them. I'm glad to hear this story, especially from RG, so I actually believe it. Bonus for having similar taste, and double bonus for posting a pic of one of my favorite movements. JL, for example I like, as a replacement for that real serious in house haute horlogerie timepiece in the watchbox.

Anyone watch CNBC investigation Counterfeits?
P4GTR replied to cubancurl's topic in General Discussion
A picture speaks a thousand words- And I'm sure that is the finest solvent free rubber being used on that (what was) spiderman kids watch that sells for $1 here in the USA. Made in China out of kisses and hugs and hot chocolate. -

I've been contemplating getting one of these for a while.. I had a hard time tracking it down to say the least. I had been in contact with Tourneau for several months, finally it paid off. With all the talk of the Ploprof, I knew how much this even more elusive watch would mean to RWG. So I set about hunting it down. Layed down the cash, and now here it is. Are you ready to have a look? Inside the bag? Lets get that puppy out! Unpacking more. Good times! Nice box. Getting excited... Oh man, the suspense is killing me, its FINALLY about to happen! BOOOYAAAAH!!!! I present... Omega Plofrrrf Wow. What a piece! Something I would never expect to see in my watchbox. Isn't it magnificent? The dial and print was done truly well if Omega was going for the aged look. Bit of a fun fact: A lot of these left the Omega factory with the dials slightly askew, and it is being said amongst WIS that they will become true collectors pieces. The time is easy to read, and it is nice having all the information I need just like that, with a glance at the wrist. GMT subhand at 9, and date window at 3. Some people say you can always tell a gen by the color of the gold. Gen Rolex, Omega, etc. gold is special. A special ceramic polymer gold blend was created for the Plofrrrf in order to create a comfortable strap for demanding tool watch such as this. The advanced material is called Cerubber. Great attention to detail again, the strap having some ridges along the outer edge to keep the watch in place during extreme adventure, while also being smooth enough to avoid discomfort. People always complain about the poor replication of Omegas logo, aka happy feet. Here is proof that even Gens arent always perfect. Its these nuances thought, that add a touch of character to the watch. The plofrrf bezel button is not like the Ploprof. This button now controls the date mechanism of the Caliber LY022 movement. By pressing the button, the watch displays the date, or that could be the dive time, or whatever your imagination wants it to be. This is innovative [censored]. The case and bezel are made of another advanced material, called cerplastic. Solid one piece cerplastic nondirectional bezel The rehaut is protected by the cerplastic bezel, but once the bezel is removed, you can see it is very nice. A work of true hand craftsmanship. Plexi crystal. Good to see Omega going back to their roots for such a prestigious release of a classic dive piece. The Caliber LY022 movement is a compact design capable of displaying the time in AM or PM, and the date. The watchmakers at Omega must reach a score of at least 32 jewels in bejeweled game demo during the manufacture of the movement in order for it to pass quality control. It keeps perfect time. Wristy Brought to you by P4GTR!

Yah, it looks good. If you wanna get anal and sand a little more, then so be it. I dont know about the color of the pearl. its supposed to glow blue. If one glows blue, use that, even if its weak, unless you get relumed its going to be weak rep lume either way, right? I'd go with the white pearl, with the crappy blue lume rather than the green lume thats bluish green in the daylight. The bezel swap job came out good. Its not hard so to speak, its just a tad tedious, as is most watch tinkering.

Exactly to the left of me when I saw this thread pop up. A thrice drained cup of vodka/cranberry (not my usual). A Lee Child novel I am currently reading. My Seamaster, a couple of spyerco's and my great grandfathers marble ashtray ornamenting my desk in the background. My Italian ancestors were marble workers. Behind is a picture of my wife and I. A guitar pick lays about. I have two guitars in this "office" room. I don't claim to be any good.

Excellent photos and info on this rep. I did a review of the Day/Date somewhat recently. Now you come along with a Ti case, these amazing pictures... Who do you think you are? If the dial isn't genuine Carbon fiber I'm of no interest in it, honestly. However, I couldn't care less about the dial. With Gen leather, a deployant and a matte black dial swap, this Ti case this could be a dream franken. I believe those with the bank roll, would have no problem getting a good AD with a penchant to "build their own" gen Carerra Day/Date to their liking, so why cant we use the best of with what we have? I dont know why they get the minutiae perfect, than leave the arrow head off of the logo, or use blued screws. I want to know as well. What I do know is they nailed the Day/Date. This is a watch that is being very under appreciated in the rep community right now. It's only a matter of time before the boys latch on as if it were a hard nipple. Will Leo being the ambassador for the Day/Date up the ante with the rep boys here on RWG? Who knows. Another good choice by Tag IMO. Leo's got some talent, unlike most of the actors now a days.

That is one beautiful Pam. Top to bottom. All eyes on deck from your &%*@ing sig for once, the watch is almost in competition. Whom may I ask, is your strap artist? that thing is sick.

Some guys get all the fame... I'll take CASIO at this point. At least its something gosh.

+1. The way the edge of the "1" hooks, or the mm of difference between a pusher isnt a bother to me, I just like the watch. I want to have it around for good. Instead of getting the gen (1st and foremost because I cannot afford it) I sent it to The Zigmeister, its on the way back with the lume corrected and an overhaul, I know I keep mentioning it. I had mentioned to BT in another thread, the Steelfish bezel #1's are the same font as a V3 Skyland. The minutiae of these things get downright silly, but thats RWG for you.

is going on 1AM. im wearing a vodka club lime. On the rocks.

I agree. The Pro2 rep bracelet leaves little to be desired. Some are downright perfect, others not so much. I think again we're talking about QC variances. For instance.. My Skyland Pro2 is great. Save for the damn logo being stamped upside down.
-
Agreed. Glad I could talk you into it.

You know we are all watch crazy, taking pictures of our watches on our trips and adventures. Post some of your watches as they were with you along your travels. My first gen, in my first place I lived on my own. Sitting at the bar on a cruise with a martini and my Sub. First cruise, first rep. At the range... At sea, again. This time with my old 177H. This one speaks for itself... At the Four Seasons, NYC. After bringing this home from the Tourneau across the street. It was my honeymoon.

Yeah it's, FWD. but it does the job. If I had a Z or a G35 i'd be modifying it, I need a break from car tuning/problems. Once enough time has passed (25yr), I will import a GT-R legally into the US and tinker with that. I wanted to swap a GTI-R SR20 so badly. That must've been lots of fun man. You've had (and still do) some great cars. I would love to see more of your SEAT. That front mount is a beast! Here is one of my old SE-R. I've owned a B13, B14(200SX) & a B15 ]

Over the past few days since my first "Life in Florida" post, i've had a few more things to show you... All two of you that looked. (click any of the pics for high-rez if you want to see their beady little eyes up close) Out the back door to our house, is always interesting. I have no idea what these are... but they are BIG! There are tons of frogs, lizards, insects, everywhere at night. You walk around outside and they are banging into you. Went to walk the dog, this was on my doorstep. In the road, this was ran over the day before. Picture is only a piece of it. Probably a black racer snake, non venomous, very fast snake. A baby armadillo plays out in the woods. About the size of your fist. (I was mountain biking, only had camera phone with me..) Our seagulls are becoming more and more crafty Speaking of birds, even Mariner the Macaw is snoozing reading my threads... Stay tuned, never know what will try to attack me over the next 24 hours. Maybe a FL panther? Don't expect pics of that!

Very nice. All you guys outside the US, shame you aren't driving GT-R's Yes, I'm a Nissan fan. Drove nothing but since I got my license! I traded in my SE-R which had most of the nismo goodies on it for a 2010 Mazda CX-7 2.0 turbo, and the wife drives that. (We want kids soon, so we wanted to try something with more room) And I drive... a 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe with the older Z engines in them, mated to 6spd manual is the VQ35DE 3.5L V6, 270 hp/260tq. Having fun with it stock, no worries of problems like with the SE-R. working my way up, one day...
