  1. Ebay! The guy was in Germany and had a couple NOS out of a drawer.
  2. It hasn't left my wrist, I don't shower with it on, but it's good to 100ft, so I suppose I could
  3. 1966 Rolex 5513 PCG Sub Gilt Gloss Underline, finally finished. Build details in thread (linked below)
  4. Here's the finished product! See the build thread for more pictures and details. 1966 Rolex 5513 Submariner, PCG, Gilt Gloss Underline Dial.
  5. Same with me, Grandfather had a Datejust, gave it to my father who gave it to me. Then I expanded into other watches and fell in love with Submariners, particularly vintage models and just finished this:
  6. Make me an offer in PM haha I may consider it. Thank you for the wonderful compliments.

  8. I don't know, something about Invicta watches just makes my soul die a little bit each time I see them. Really dislike the brand, how the company is run, their pricing schema and over-all goofy designs. This is one of their better looking watches for sure, and a decent homage, but something about it just really still bothers me... just being honest.
  9. OMG ROLEX IS THE BESTEST EVER WATCH MADE!
  10. I will build one of these - I was considering doing a proper big-crown build but these fascinate me much much more.
  11. Holy crap, now those are MACRO shots!!!
  12. $260 sounds about right... we'll have to keep an eye on that.
  13. Here's a few more shots before it goes back together
  14. The mid-case arrived today from Dbane - absolutely lovely work all the way around. Very pleased, a real gentleman and craftsman. I am excited to cobble it all back together this week! I'll post detailed pictures when it's all back together and a complete build-sheet.
  15. Added a couple 6538 shots. The depth reading is blurry, which is odd because it wasn't on the phone.
  16. Here's the clasp on a gen 9315 bracelet, it's beatup and been repaired but holds. Also a couple IWC 5002 shots.
  17. I bought an Olloclip, thread here Having good luck with it so far! Neat gadget.
  18. Took these today, just starting to experiment with this neat little gadget. Here it for iPhone 5S
  19. So excited to get this thing all back together. Here's another shot from DBane with crown in and the strap I ordered from Worn and Wound.
  20. Looks like ol' Jacob the Jeweler hired a real watchmaker. His crap has been a joke in the watch industry for over a decade, found on the wrist of rappers and such, all bling'd out with terrible movements. Ice-T had one, he said on Cribs awhile back that the thing actually just stopped telling time, but he still liked wearing it "cuz it shiiiiines." So silly.
  21. Dropped a genuine Rolex Datejust on the concrete while remarking to a friend about how well made they were... $800 in parts/ repairs later... karma.
