  1. Coming soon! Bevels!!! New gen bezel assembly / insert w/ correct vintage pearl Dial & hands relume by Dazza himself Proper lug-hole size - drilled out personally. I'll post pics as soon as it's complete and back together. Will be adding a 7206 style rivet bracelet as well for summer.
  2. Welcome! sorry about your bank account haha ;-) Enjoy
  3. I paid $250 for a gen 703 crown and tube from a guy on here not super long ago who does a lot of selling... I was a n00b and obviously got taken, as I sold them later on, both for less than half that.
  4. Thanks! The dealer I found doesn't seem to ship out of EU and Gray and Son's doesn't have much. I think I'll order one of Peter's straps, they seem quite nice. I'll contact Rolojack for a deployant, and I'll try to upload a pic of the one I have. Basically my complaint with it is that it slips out of the strap-holes really easily and doesn't look genuine from the 5002 pics I've seen on eBay etc.
  5. Well for example, there's a really gorgeous 6263 Daytona on here that is at least 75% genuine and has a V72 movement. Seller is asking $4,300 bucks... I'd pay that if I didn't want to go through the build process as that's pretty much what the parts / watch-smith time will cost me. Actually, if it had the dial I want I probably would have already snatched it up. It's a supreme build. Point is, I think there's some discernment to be had between a Cartel Sub with an ETA in it and some fancy lume-work for $1500 versus masterpiece level builds that need maybe one or two bits before you could sell it to John Mayer for $200k. That's why newbies/non-experts should rely on senior members and lots of research before parting with cash. Agree that there should be a price breakdown... but (not that I'm selling it) I don't even remember what I paid for all the parts in my mostly genuine 5513. Digging all that up would be annoying, but yes should be a requisite. That said, another point of contention would be I ignorantly over-paid for some parts, how does that correlate into fair-market value? Do we take the mean and min for what parts sell for and split the difference? Someone charging $400 for a 703 crown and tube versus someone fire-selling it out for $125... Markets, all markets, will be driven by speculation without regulation... you don't need to read 600 pages of Adam Smith to see that.
  6. People in Massachusetts have been using the Force for years while driving.
  7. @DLF.... WOW Seriously, amazing. That's really cool man.
  8. Robert Maron www.robertmaron.com He has great rep's
  9. I have three or four good rep's, two neat franken's and plenty of genuine watches. I think there's some innate disappointment with the rep's that will happen but curing them is part of the fun process. My 5513 is literally now all genuine minus mid-case, dial, hands. It's been a lot of fun to build and perfect, and I'm not done yet! I think if you get into franken builds you'll find more pleasure in it. Rep's aren't for everyone, I think they're fun, but they aren't a significant part of my collection. I can't look past some of the flaws.
  10. And this isn't a sales thread because clearly you hate us all ;-) haha jk jk What a beauty! Enjoy it and wear in good health!
  11. I found a dealer selling AP genuine buffalo straps for $250.00 and having held them in the flesh they are way above and beyond what you get with the rep. Plus the rep deployant on mine is WAY off from the gen.
  12. Not a whole lot of distinction there sometimes ;-) hehe
  13. Robert Maron Watches www.robertmaron.com
  14. Not for nothing but this is making me rethink my 6263 build and thinking about going for a 1:1 amazing big-crown build.
  15. This will likely be just one of the finest builds on this board, and that I've ever seen! Amazing, can't wait to see it all put together!
  16. I'd say Cartel or MBW case, then send to Necky for proper engravings, send to me to drill out the lugs, and Dbane for case shaping / bevels then you're off to a good start.
  17. Yeah man, snap it up - he's a great seller the watch is top notch.
  18. It is engraved in but the back of my Omega Master 300 went and wiped out pretty quick. Maybe depends on the oils in your skin? I have shied away from buying another Omega rep for this reason.
  19. Seconded and thirded! You won't find a nicer 5513 gilt underline, unless it's mine haha ;-)
  20. Anyone know where to get a gen brown strap / deployant or *really* nice rep version for IWC Big Pilot 5002? PM me please - thanks!
  21. I have the 5002 - nice watch - definitely appreciate the detail work on the 5004 that IWC did. Looking for a replacement genuine IWC (or really really nice rep) strap with deployant. Any suggestions folks?
  22. Very very nice - but wait until the black lettering on the back rubs off. Other than that, it looks just lovely, never was much for gold watches but that is seriously beautiful.
  23. Here you go 1966 5513 gen movement 1956 6538 eta movement 2013 LV Sub-C Hulk - completely gen
