  3. I've been thinking about picking up a TC sub and throwing my gen 703 crown on it, gen insert and hands. Will a TC case take a Yuki 3135? does he use dial dots or do his faces have feet?
  4. Paying $58k for this horrid monstrosity. http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/manufacture-royale-androgyne

  9. I will take one, dimensions? Go great in my office!
  10. I think the ETA stamp looks a little rough
  11. 5513 - finally a shot out in the wild, with NATO strap That is just gorgeous man! I second that - geez that's a serious plexi!
  12. My brother has a full Bridgeport Milling Machine, Lathe, Shaper and Delta grinder. He and I are going to have a go at my 5513 lug holes. I'll share the (hopefull) success with you all - if so, he may be willing to take on clients.
  13. Agreed - Premium Daytona only, just like Bob Maron does
  14. Here's a guy with GEN 3135's for $1,700 - not a bad deal. http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/message/1417286063/
  15. Ask for QC pics that show the movement's maker stamp, ETA has a unique stamp located on the base-plate. You'll have to trust that the TD is sending you an ETA shown in QC pics if the watch has a closed case-back. That said, most watchmakers will open the watch for you, check the gaskets and verify that it's ETA for a really nominal fee..less than $50 I would imagine.
  16. I'm going to jump in here because I am struggling with this too. I picked up what I am told are gen-spec fat-bars. I am assuming they fit well, as the watch hasn't fallen off (cheers to nato's) and they haven't popped - however I know my lug-holes are wrong. My brother is a damn fine amateur machinist, and has a bridgeport milling machine with digital guides etc - he and I are going to set up a rig to drill correct size lug-holes... I am assuming I'll then be in the same pickle about finding the right bars.
  17. There's a search button, and many threads you'll want to read. Just type in a keyword like "Daytona" and start searching and reading... You can't expect other members to pick a watch for you, because everyone's taste and budget is unique. There are different versions, there's different levels of quality. You haven't stated what your price range is, how familiar you are with Rolex watches, what your level of expertise is or anything like that... that makes it hard to guide you. Best thing to do is just start reading. Good luck
