  1. Movement examined by Rolex expert / watchmaker for a purchase that significant is a must. Authenticator must be experienced with Rolex V72 movement, and what replica bridges and parts look for, and be prepared to dissasemble watch and look at base-plate and corresponding serials I think. Don't get John Mayer'd
  2. Maranez Layan - Green Railroad Track Cali Dial Upgraded strap
  3. I honestly tried one of these on in the Torneau store awhile back when I was buying the Rolex LV Sub-C hulk. I didn't like it then, thought it was too big. Kind of wish I'd purchased the gen IWC over the gen Rolex, but I'm reasonably happy with the rep...my doesn't have much of a power-reserve though. How much was the gen movement?
  4. "recently serviced" - it runs and there was some oil shot into it.
  5. Fantastic! I will order one then. They are much nicer than the rep. No way I can compete with your build, but there will be a beautiful strap on my 5002 and gen crown, double-AR gorgeous sapphire and I'll have my watchsmith peg the power reserve at 5 days, look a bit more authentic....
  6. I think you'd have to fill the hole and if it's just glued down, it might be a problem.
  7. 1966 PCG - 5513 gilt underline, genuine cal.1520, gen crown, tube, bezel & insert Here it was in Phase One. Phase Two: - Dazza relume of current dial and two sets of hands (gold and steel) - DBane putting sweet bevels on case - Drilled out lug-holes to match gen - New NOS genuine Rolex T-19 plexi - New NOS genuine Rolex bezel assembly - New insert with matched pearl I'll post pics when it's all back together.
  8. Wow thank you for that great resource - would a genuine crown fit on a rep movement?
  9. Can I ask how you sourced the parts? The movement in particular? I would love to do one of these, but IWC parts seem way more scarce than Rolex.
  10. Yeah I'm curious about that too - they run $10k to $12k on eBay
  11. You know what's f'd up? My miyota powered Seamaster 300 keeps impeccable time but yes, when the movement is jiggled it stutters, and sometimes the second hand gets jittery but oddly enough the thing keeps really great time. I've not had a problem with it at all.
  12. I don't mind paying for the gen crown, but if the tube doesn't fit the case properly it wouldn't be worth it unfortunately. I guess that's my predicament. I'll try to turn the tube into the case more and if not, cut it down a bit with my watchmaker. Stay tuned. Might go Athaya regardless.
  13. He's not accepting new business. The website still stands but nobody has been able to contact him via conventional sources.
  14. Wow.... That is unbelievable. Seriously, unbelievable. Amazing. Can I ask what you are into it for $?
  15. That is awesome info Nanuq, I really appreciate it. I will see if the tube is all the way in. If not, maybe I'll replace it with Athaya
  16. Hi all, Have a question here regarding the HR (helenarou) 6538 Big Crown from the raffle. The tube protrudes from the case, not complaining, just looks a little odd. It's an ETA movement. Looks like if it didn't protrude the bezel would smack the crown. Is there a fix for this? Better case option?
  17. Oh now I can read it... wow that is a lot of drama.
  18. I do not have permission to view, screen-shot?
  19. My honda accord, so I can travel, buy expensive watches, clothes and spend most of my time not working
  20. Thanks, it's been a really fun process
