  1. I will on occasion wear a 45mm and 47mm - (IWC and Panzera) - the Panzera wears slimmer at 47mm and fits really well. I don't have particularly large wrists, my 36mm vintage datejust wears just fine, and I think 39mm-40mm is just about perfect. I am wondering if we'll ever go back to a day when wrist-clocks aren't in style... and 22-26mm for ladies, and 32-36mm for men is the standard. I doubt it, but who knows?
  2. Better deals down the road? How long is this road? lol ;-) haha
  3. Mark, your sentiment and conscience is admirable and this is a risk we take in our hobby. However, this has been going on for a long time. Robert Maron sold John Mayer a franken PN Daytona
  4. It's magnetic, bada bada boop.
  5. Oh wow!! Very nice! I am wondering if it would be possible to find a balance with counterweights - as per gen 3120... someone must have an ETA clone movement with balance weights. What do you think of the screw height? I can never tell if they're properly recessed or if it's just lighting on the gens, etc.
  6. Fantastic, on order soon! love it
  7. http://trustytime.store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=241_246&products_id=18031 Is that the model?
  8. This is what I have - no bracelet - just parts.
  9. I'm really not sure of anyone else, I'm of the mind that 904L is pretty much proprietary (by choice only) to Rolex. I am 99% sure that a 16613 is 904L
  10. It was the material in my 16610LV (Hulk) and in 2 years never had a nick scratch or anything. Damn fine metal.
  11. Agreed - although I'm really not convinced they make the thing out of 904L that is hard steel, and $$$$$ to f&ck with
  12. Having worn the real deal 116610LV (I think that's the model #) for a couple of years there's absolutely no way any of the rep's handle how the thing looks in the sun. It just sparkles like no other Rolex I've ever put on. No rep will ever do it justice.
  13. ARF ARF ARF lol The first one that's not a complete dog, goes ARF haha https://puretime05.com/watch-brands/rolex/daytona/daytona-116500-arf-1-1-best-edition-904l-ss-case-and-bracelet-black-dial-a4130-super-clone.html 13mm is pretty slim. Without getting someone like Domi to thin down the case and remove the autowinder, etc - and dial wise in my humble opinion this is the best you're going to get. That said, if you did get Domi to slim it down it would look pretty gen-spec case wise... however, I only know one dude that goes around looking for fat Daytona's, he's a crazy person and will walk right up to bro's at Starbux and call them out. Brother's been punched a couple times. Just don't stick it in a winder, and don't play with the chrono's too much, and expect that at some point it will go *bang* Pretty sure that's what I looked like after my 5513 gilt build... ugh, so much time and money. Learned how to use machine tools though haha
  14. Is there a Yuki 3135 in this? If so I've got a lot of gen 3135 parts that I can sell you at a big discount if you like, since I sold my franken 16610 project. Love the perlon strap too, more texture and depth than a standard nato.
  15. My 16610, non-ceramic was: • Sean M series mid-case (reshaped lughorns for a nice fit with the gen SEL, chamfered and polished by Omega) • TC case-back • Sean bezel and crystal retainer ring (reworked by Domi for perfect pressure fit with insert/and gen parts) • Gen washer and click-spring for the bezel • Gen 93250 SEL bracelet (new in 2015 from AD, with invoice/receipts from the AD) • Gen LEC crystal w/o AR • Gen NOS LN bezel insert • Gen 703 tube • Gen 704 crown • Gen hands • Gen M series dial • Gen date disc • Watch was put together, adjusted and pressure-tested by Domi The Yuki 3135 (complete service by our illustrious Misiekped and franken'd with following: • Genuine Rolex 2 x setting wheels • Genuine Rolex 2 x reversing wheels • Genuine Rolex winding wheel • Genuine Rolex sliding pinion All in all that's a few thousand bucks right there.... If you want to get a great watch get this, don't get into the franken game until you have more experience - you'll spend too much.
  16. Good call on BK - fixes up a lot of factory flaws, but idk if he has ceramic's
  17. I've got a pretty solid 5009-09 Le Petit Prince rose gold rep - it's on a high-quality LVMH strap with orange lining by Peter. It's factory otherwise, anyone done any nice mod's to these?
  18. Nobody can tell man. Buy this one - it's unique and cool https://puretime05.com/submariner-16610-lv-green-no-rehaut-engraving-jf-1-1-best-edition-on-ss-bracelet-sh3135.html If you want better than that, you're getting into franken territory, like a Sean case, gen dial, bezel etc... I had one for sale recently, sold for $2,000 with a gen bracelet.
  19. I have had nothing but bad bad bad luck with 7750's that weren't legit 7750's (swiss $1000 movement) so...in rep's. You could have the entire thing rebuilt, but it's still going to be a cheap 7750 rep and prone to breaking. Follow the words of wisdom above and steer clear to have a happy first AP experience In my humblest of opinions... good luck!
  20. What legend said... terrible SEL is dead give-away but for $150... not too bad. Definitely not a "AAA" grade rep. Sapphire appears to sit too high.
  21. That is absolutely sublime. Now if someone would buy my 16610 I could start my 6263 project with a V72! haha damnit.
  22. Any way to get those points removed? I appreciate the sentiment from you fine fellows.
