  1. I love the smell of leather!
  2. Email your dealer. Then, while you're waiting, go to an opticians with just the screw from the other side and ask them if they have any screws to match. They probably will. Then use a screw-lock to fix them in place.
  3. I know we talked about the time you were putting into this hobby a while back over a Pizza and I'm not surprised to read this, Mark. What's surprised me is that it's taken as long as it has. Take a break, relax and love your own watches over again. You deserve it. Now, about that beer sometime?
  4. I'm in for a ticket Or 2. Or 3. etc etc /edit - When I log back in after buying, the page doesn't show that I've bought any extra tickets, it still only shows me having some from the last lottery, is it just a bit delayed?
  5. I have no idea how deep the watch should be and no way of measuring what I've got. I've handled the real PO though and I didn't really notice any difference in depth. But even if it's a couple of mm too shallow I doubt anyone would ever notice without putting the two next to each other, it would never be spotted when looked at by itself. I love it, I think it's a great watch.
  6. My 45/20 from TTK. Yes, it's the wrong lug size, but apart from that . . . . . . . ?
  7. 1) Rolex Day-Date model 18239 2) Joshua 3) I wear it around the house and outside occasionally. It's not a particularly good rep and it's not in the price range that I'd feel comfortable wearing the gen so I don't wear it out often.
  8. I agree, it's not an attractive watch with a silly name. Turn-o-Graph. Sounds like a kids toy!
  9. They're both nice but I don't like watches which have someones name scribbled on them. It's not so bad if it's a person who's alive who could have endorsed it, but as Senna isn't woth us any more.... No thanks.
  10. Wind it forwards 12 hours. The way I set any watch with a date is to use the manual date adjust to get it to the previous date, then wind manually forward until I get to the correct time, be it am or pm.
  11. Today I am mostly wearing my LV Sub.
  12. click and all will be revealed
  13. Oh I agree that there's nothing wrong with a few knocks and scratches but that's taking it to the extreme. It needs serious refurbishment, at the moment it looks like a heap of old junk.
  14. I think it looks bloody awful! There's 'used' and there's '[censored]ed'. It falls into the latter.
  15. I consider myself lucky, I was supposed to be having a watch supplied and modded but I got my cash back so all it cost me was the paypal fees.
  16. It's one of the first reps I bought and it's a cheapy, I think it was about £60 and has a couple of issues I'd really like to sort. 1) Even though I've not worn it much, the thread on the crown/tube has semi stripped. I've always been careful to screw the crown down gently, turning it anti-clockwise first and then doing it up tight but it's started to go anyway. 2) Bezel is slightly out of alignment. I've sorted the insert on my PO so this should be a doddle. 3) Cyclops is on at a slight angle. Most people wouldn't even notice this, but I do and because I know it's slightly off, it gives me the hump. It's Asian movement so I don't know how possible it is to fix the thread problem and I guess the cyclops thing would be easiest fixed by changing the crystal? I can do the insert alignment. Heat it up to soften the glue, remove the insert, clean it all up and re-glue. The others, I doubt I can do but are they generally simple fixes for a watchsmith and who can be recommended to do that work in either the UK or the EU? Thanks.
  17. Thanks Bryan, I appreciate that.
  18. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=12714 I tried to get Tag links as well for the same reason but had no replies. Seems nobody is interested in helping out
