  1. You want one of these... Custom made by Aaron for my fiddy.
  2. If you check here, you should find some good Marinas.
  3. I sold my Link Chrono because it wasn't getting any wrist time - I could be tempted by this though Great review, thanks.
  4. I just received a couple of pieces back from The Zigmeister, one of them was my EL fiddy which has been serviced, regulated and lumed. It was supposedly superlumed when I bought it but it quite obviously wasn't. The distortion is due to the crystal on the 127 He's done a fantastic job, it glows like it's the winner of the Mr. World Glow competition who's taken an overdose in glowy radiation and is on Glow Patrol for the night
  5. I've been anticipating a package back from Canada for a few days. I'm poised and on tenterhooks but nothing yet.
  6. Did you not read the post two above yours? It's all there. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...st&p=304014
  7. The more I look at skeleton watches, the more I think they're just a mess. Never seen one I like yet, sorry. I appreciate the reasoning behind them, ie showing off the movement but I've never seen one which isn't butt ugly.
  8. If you're offering, I'll have the 127 please I think with me it was the Breitling SFSO. I'd never fancied any Breitlings at all whatsoever and after I posted a pic of my watch box with a blank space, a number of people suggested filling it with a Breitling so I spent some time looking and picked up an SFSO from Precious Time and I'm really pleased with it.
  9. Three *Simple* steps to Heaven. (*sings* do-wop wop, do, do wop-wop) Now there are three steps to heaven, Just listen and you will plainly see, And as life travels on and things do go wrong, Just follow steps one, two and three. Step one - you send your watch to The Zigmeister Step two - he lumes it and sends it back to you Step three - you wear it and it glows brightly Well it sure seems like heaven to me. The formula for heaven
  10. You really ought to do some reading of this section of the forum, the difference between the two versions is widely discussed......
  11. Still reckon it's a scam site....
  12. When you ask a dealer to do a service and add the additional seals (I laughed at that as well, Pug) make sure you ask him to ensure he sends you a grade AAA++ watch instead of one the normal ones.
  13. For a diving watch, I'm amazed at how short the rubber strap is, I've got a large wrist and it won't fit me. It'd never go over a wetsuit
  14. When you say that the lume is applied correctly, do you mean that the lume is good, or just that it's there? Mine was missing at the 12,3,6,9 positions around the edge of the dial at the tiny places in the rehaut where it's supposed to be and barely glowed at all.
  15. I think that looks much better, thanks
  16. Very true, people are often averse to change.
  17. I wasn't specifically complaining about yours because it is useful (I've bought watches after reading your reviews). If you notice, I then went on to specifically cite large images as my main issue. Don't put words into my mouth please, I never said it was 'annoying'.
  18. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading more.
  19. I already explained why in the post you quoted. Having user details at the side doesn't make any difference with the size of images that can be posted. If an image is resized then a user only has to click on it to get it full size anyway and as thumbnails are often posted, it's irrelevant. And as I said, single posts take up a whole screen now - Look... One short post with a short quote taking up pretty much the whole screen at 1280x1024 resolution, and that's with avatars turned off (I don't care about avatars). Of course, you have a large signature and that's another bugbear of mine on here, there are people with images in their signatures that are stupid sizes, I've seen them at 800 pixels high and that's ridiculous so they get adblocked. We should have size limits on signature images imho.
  20. Is it not possible to have the old and the new skins here so people can choose which one they want? /edit - Erm? I just replied to an admin post but it's gone!
  21. I think we just asked the same thing, ratchpot!
  22. I'm wondering if it's possible to move each post header back to be on the left of the post rather than above it (like the 'work safe' skin). The reason is that when scrolling through a thread, it's much easier to read the thread if each post isn't preceded by the header, before it was posible to read each comment without having to mentally skip the header each time. Having the header on the top rather than at the side also makes the the physical space on the screen of each post huge - I run at 1280x1024 and I'm finding now that I barely get two posts on a single screen. Forums just look neater with the posters name, avatar etc to the left of the text. Thanks for reading
  23. Well it's not bad but I think the avatar resizing is a BAD move. The avatars can now be huge and will take silly amounts of time to load, even on a decent connection. 250x250 is immense for an avatar. I feel that signatures have always been too large here and now so are avatars. So. I'm off to the control panel to see if I can turn them off.
