  1. sorry, I did not make my question clear. I am referring to a simple vintage style strap. I have many of these, some are thick leather and others are thin leather.
  2. So I have a couple of thicker leather bands and a couple of thinner ones. I cannot decide which ones I like better, I think I would lean more twords the thinner. What is the general consensus?

  6. I did find a similar one for sale and the movement looks identical. I plan on taking it to my local guy for service!
  7. here is a bad shot of the inside of the watch, it does have seiko markings on the mechanism, appears very old and beat up, also it did not have a gasket, something I will have to rectify
  8. that is the normal in position, but I can still depress it and it will change the time, but as soon as I let go it pops back to this position.
  9. no, as you can see in the picture the crown is in what appears to be the in position, completely flush with the case, but if you push in on it, it clicks in further and changes the date, as soon as you let go it pops back to where it currently is.
  10. So I bought this vintage Seiko, just thought it looked interesting. It seems to run fine and even the chrono more or less works. However with the crown pushed in as in the picture it does not function as if it is in. If I push on the crown, it will move in further and change the date. Does anyone know if this is normal? I can take the back off latter at home if it helps.
  11. Is it just me or is the watch on upside down?
  12. And yes my date is off...
  13. cannot turn it, there are two pins one on either side as guides to make it go in correctly.
  14. trust me I appreciate the help!!
  15. you can see in the picture that there is a slight gap between the crown guard and the watch, it is sort of floppy. Is it fixable?
  16. thank you
