good idea on the chinese address. At this point I am still weighing my options, but it is looking like I will ship it. I am already of the midset that this watch is dead to me if I cannot get it fixed, so no real loss if it dissapears other than the postage.

MRThompson, what is all the writing on your band?
-
not a chance, I basically destroied the bezel. And the TD says the maker will fix it for me but not sell the part...
-
So I am going to ship my SOH back to the tD for repair of the mess I made. I am in California. What is the best and safest way, customswise to ship back to them? I am thinking just regular priority USPS?

there are other watch boards...but...

this is deffinitly the only place I read the discussions and post for the most part. The other ones are too large and way too many people ready to jump you instead of helping!!! -
I finally got the color on the band to my liking, it was a bit too light and orangy before, so I did a bit of black dye and it left me with a very dark brown which I love!!!

Well my newer SOH had a small issue with the bezel, it was a bit low on tension so it would spin off center all the time. Well, I have fixed this issue on many of my watches before so I figured, no big deal I will fix it on this one.... Bad mistake, while pruing it up it started lifting but one point would not lift, and I ended up with a bent bezel. I panicked and tried to seat it with pressure, and now I have a bent bezel and a mark on the insert also. I feel like a complete fool, especially since this is becoming more difficult to find. I am hoping that puretime will be able to find me a replacement bezel and insert. Otherwise, is there anyone here that thinks they might be able to at least get the bezel flat and able to seat again?

I am not necessarily talking about shaving the CG for the size, more for the look, I like the look of the more rounded case when there are no CG. That is all. Just tossing ideas around in my head!!!!

I would leave well enough alone, you do not want them to try and say you were receiving counterfeit goods

I found this on e-bay, , looked interesting, and I wanted to see how the case was compared to my hubolt. Case is not half bad!! It will probably go to my wife as she really liked it and I do not care much for the see through watches, but still for under $20 one cannot complain....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/131572002597?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Anyone have one of these? I am between this and the normal Orange monster. I love the orange monster, but it is a 42mm case and this one states that it is a 44mm case which fits my wrist better. I am wondering if anyone has one and their opinion of them especially between it and the orange monster

Hey Iggi, there are a couple of people looking to buy one of those if you are looking to sell, my son included!!! New Band!!

I wonder if any of the TD could at least source the dial, from there we could do as we wish?

Bronica, read the thread a bit further, yes the mods called me on the tag, I never said the mods called me on the year. If you follow the thread you will see that I corrected by posting a new tagged picture which had the full date, but the 5 in 2015 looked a bit like 2013 and someone made a comment " did anyone else notice that it says 2013" That is what I was referring to. Seriously, read the whole thing. You will see what I was referring to. That was a petty thing, really as if I would take a picture on sept 2 2013 and save it till 2015 just it sneak something. It was irritating as I was trying to do things right. As for the moderators, is not putting RWI on the tag against the rules? Yes, but to put a hole on the auction? I could see them asking to correct the tag, they do this all the time but to put a hold? Yes it is their prerogative, for sure. It just comes across like a cop that is trying to find every little thing that is not perfect to get you on, not to help you. Either way, the whole point is that this forum is much more relaxed, in a very good way.

An interesting approach to a 6538 rep :-) or better homage
cavi replied to gasebah's topic in The Rolex Area
this has given me an idea, get a DSSD and shave the CG to create a sort of DSSD6538 homage? Sound like fun? -
So, I currently own two superoceans, a nice 42mm with yellow trim, I love it but it is a bit on the small side for my taste. I also own a heritage 46mm, and I love the look but it is actually a bit on the big side, wearable but slighly big. So I am thinking a superocean 44, but I would like it to look a bit more like the 46 without the CG. Does it seem feasable to shave off the CG and make it look like a 46? Any reason not to?

I wish i knew where i could get another as my son is pushing hard for me to "donate" it to him which is not happening. I got it here on a m2m. They guy said it was his father's. At this point i love it and it will probably always remain in my box! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
