Hi I have actually two watches that need work, the more important one is a yachtmaster that I gave my son. I seem to remember that it had a 2813/21j, but he is at college so I cannot be sure. He just let me know that it has quit working so I need either the 2813 to be replaced for another or a price to upgrade to a 2836 asian or something of that nature. I am in California. The second watch is a pam homage watch that I love the look of, but it drives me nuts, if it sits for a week or two then when you start it it will run for a bit and stop, then you tap it and it starts again, then it stops again. After running for about 1/2 hour it runs fine like a top. Don't know if it needs replacement or maybe some oil somewhere? You can either PM me or call me at 530 2006458 Thank you, Dario

I have my son's rolex yachmaster that has a 2813 in it (at least I am guessing as I do not have the watch). Anyway it has quit, so I need someone from this forum that could replace the movement for me. I either want to do a straight 2813 swap or they can give me a quote to upgrade to a 2836 or something. I just want someone good honest and decent priced.

I personally have quite a few of the bargain reps and the ones I own I really like and do not feel the need to dish out the money for a higher grade version. Now there are a few higher grade ones I own that I would not own the lower grade versions of.....

take the watch and tap the back and face to the palm of your hand a few times and see if it starts, I have had a couple do that on shipping

No it is not dead, it is running, but when you lock the crown down you feel a snapping. Once locked down all appears normal. Once I finally had it going, it only stopped again the first time I set it, after that it has been going for a couple of hours. I even did pull the crown back out to lube it, it did do the snapping thing when screwing it down but it did not stop....

Honestly I have more than 10 other watches with 2813 movements and they all work great, I would change them if they died but other than that I have no problems with them

I bought a SM Rolex M2M. the idea was to give it to my son as it was inexpensive, it was presented as a daily beater with a 2813 that "ran like a top" I received it today and right out of the box it was not running. The crown was not fully screwed down so I screwed it down and still nothing, shook it a bit and nothing, unscrewed the crown and tried to manually wind, but when winding it felt like I was feeling a snapping feel with every rotation as if it was catching on something. After quite a bit of fiddling and banging it started when I finally slapped it face down on my palm. I let it run for about half an hour then tried to set it, and again when tightening the crown down I felt the snapping and the watch stopped again, so another small slap to my palm and it is running again. Ideas?

In light the dial is white, but slightly offwhite

As some of you may know I scre### up my Bretling SOH, I did send it back for repair but I basically wrote it off as lost. Well these are very difficult to find but I saw somewhere someone selling a 44 SO that they had got off Alli. This got me thinking and so off I went and I did find a couple of SOH on there, but the best was I found one of the ones with the white face that I love. Less than $100 so I figured all I had to loose was $100, so I went for it and while I was there I also got a black SO 44, again sub 100. Well they both arrived, under 2 weeks. Yesterday the SO and today the SOH. First the SO, it is beautiful, the finish is great. The only thing I could fault it is it does not have a screw down crown, but for under 100 I am fine with that. Then today the SOH arrived and again, great finish, feels and looks just like the one I destroied, but it actually looks slightly better. this one does have the screw down crown, bezel looks nice, feels good. I love the white face on this watch. I am not a big fan of the mesh bracelet, but i have a beautiful leather band at home for it. I know there are probably a number of flaws on both, but honestly for what I want they are great. I may invest in a better SO44 latter but for now this one is great and the soh in white is not available with the TD so I am fine with this one!! And yes the dial is not really white but a cream .

I used to not mind the quartz watches, now the jumping second hand drives me nuts, plus, I hate having to take 15 watches to the shop for battery replacement.......

Huh, good to know, I was looking on PC site and there's does have a fake dial at the 3 oclock position according to the site. That was the only reason I was even contemplating going with a quartz model. I will have to get mine from PT. They must get them from different factories as both of them are using 7753 movements http://www.pf-818.com/om300m402-seamaster-300m-chrono-ssss-blkylw-a7753-p-16708.html

out of curiosity, I was looking at the PC site and I see three versions of this watch I like, the one you have but with a 7753, a version with a 7750, but it is much more yellow while yours looks more orange. Last they have a quartz version. the two automatics have a fake dial at 3 oclock while the quartz has full function on all dials. I am usually not a quartz fan, but I do like all dials working. Does the quartz have all the sub dials in the same place as the gen? http://www.pf-818.com/omse20102r-diver-300m-chrono-ssru-blkylw-p-15276.html

any chance you have a picture of an older version and a newer version for identification purposes?
