There is zero doubt that this forum is the place to be to talk about watches. I would say this is the civilized forum while the other forum might be akin to....... North korea? Please no offense meant to anyone who lives there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

for sure, I bought one from puretime a bit over a month ago!!!! Love it!

hey Diesel, are you sure all you are drinking is wine? Getting way way out there.....
-
the only thing that forum is good for is there are alot of people there so sometimes it is faster to sell a watch there....

Then after posting another picture with a tag that stated RWI plus date and my screen name, some jack A## comes back and questions weather my date says 9/2/2015 or 2013. Really? Like I would take a picture of the watch two years ago and hold on to it until exactly today to use it, plus I had the picture from yesterday already up there to boot......Seriously. talk about over the top. I guess some of them have way too much time on their hands...... And even after the pictures have been up for a couple of hours the staff hold is still there...

starting point new dial Aged Insert Cyclops removed and new band! I really have never liked the cyclops on the watches, which is why I like my Sea Dweller over my Mariners, so finally lasy night I gathered up the courange and removed the cyclops. I will admit that I practiced on two invictas and a chinese winner before doing my Mariner. When I first bought this watch it I hated it, I was going to use it as a guinea pig to play with, however not it is one of my favorite watches!!! My biggest problem now is my eldest son is in love with it.....

Gotta love those RWI folks, they temporarily locked a sale of mine because I did not have RWI written on the tag in the picture!!! The name and date were there....
-
Cola Mariner now without the cyclops! I like the cleaner look without the cyclops so I broke down and removed it yesterday!!!
-
the only thing I like about rwi is that there are typically more watches for sale on their sales board, not necessarily good watches just more!!!
-
what type of crystal is that ?

I finally found a non chrono from Andrew!!!! Got lucky. Toro also had a non chrono but only the blue one and I really wanted the black one!

I know this sounds crude, but I had a 2813 come in and do the same. I slapped it against my palm over and over and it learned it's lesson and has worked fine ever since. I did slap it hard. -
I found that with some watches i needed the press for the dies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

from the looks of it I am going to take whatever on I find, PC has told me he doesn't have one in stock and they do not make it any more. I am hoping one of the other TD can find me one lost on a shelf somewhere!!!

Is that a good thing or a bad thing !!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a bit Lost, Nanuq, you start your post with Daniel and Ledgand? Are these the same people Mike is talking about? Sorry, very confusing and I want to understand who I am to be looking out for.

Hey, at this point I am over 40 watches, and I never really fell in love with the yachtmaster. I should have gotten the 42mm yachtmaster II but even then I honestly have never bonded with the silver bezel. I like the black or blue bezels on the subs.... So this 43mm invicta sub homage should be a nice fit.

Fanatic, it is deffinitly a difference in taste. I own a couple of rolex subs and sea dwellers, and honestly I like them, but at 40mm they are a bit small for my larger wrist. So I typically look for 44mm watches, like the DSSD, and the 45mm Omega PO, and Panerais. I just got today another invicta that was bought for my son, it is also a sub homage, but in a 43mm case size. I bought it for my son, but I would be honored to wear it any day. finish is really nice, and it is a good Japanese movement, which I cannot honestly say for a number of my reps which have 2813 movements. I put up with the 2813 in some of the reps knowing they will die and I will either junk the watch or I will have to find a whole movement and replace it since I cannot service them. Honestly, this is a nice piece, I might even give him my yachtmaster, which Is not my favorite, and keep this one for me as I think it looks better on my wrist than the yachtmaster
