If Omega build a 50mm version of the Planet Ocean too, we will no more found 42mm rep, even 45mm PO rep ... people still think that bigger is better. Omega use LiquidMetal composite (google it for more info about the company LiquidMetal) in the bezel construction, look how it is made here, really outstanding process !!!! I was off a long time, just read here and there some post. I just come across of this one, and I can't keep my mouth shout on this. No place to argue, this man know the truth, a big FACT that was made by a serious analysis, a straight strike generalization. "Let's get one thing straight" like that said: There's a lot of member here who wear/have/love a Rolex and know a lot about mechanical watch and all about Rolex history, all the technology they patent, etc. CAN'T MAKE THESE KIND OF GENERALIZATION. I find this comment rude and can upset some of Rolex owner that know maybe more thing about watch than the guys. Open-minded is a quality of watch hobbyist.

All my new acquisition now contain only the Asian mvt version (21J or the 2836/2824). I'm tired to pay for the swiss version, just to get a fake peace of mind, cuz it is stamped "swiss" on it, it's very different than getting a Swiss 2824-2 with a Glucydur/nivarox balance wheel in it, etc. etc. Swiss mvt that chineses put in replica are just the very basic stuff. Asian 2824/2836/7750 are excellent too.

The clasp is exaclty the same as the GMT II Ceramic, just a diver extension.

Ordered from asian7750.com. Not able to campare it with the gen, so will not make "review" of it, but one thing is for sure, it look's very "luxury" in real. One thing bug me, it's the beze, itl is pretty "slack" and need to be tightening. I'll see if my local watchsmith can do something. I hate those "slack" bezel, it feel like a cheap replica

Still POrikaa on rubber. Best quality/price watch I never own. Some flaws compare to the gen, but it's not the reason why you buy the watch, for a beater, you can't go wrong. The finish of the case is outstanding.

I got a Slevin with a relume job, very well done, but after couple of days after, that begin to bug me, and, I finaly, sold it. Sometime MOD is not necessary a good idea. Just my two cents.

Ho! well said BT, and that's the KEY to not be obsessed of anything, it's not only true for watches, but it's true for so many other stuff too! at the moment it's begin to be too seriously, and you freak it out for irrational stuff/details, or wanting a gen that imply to put all your eggs to aquire a gen watch, you are in a very dangerous zone and you start to sink. life need an equilibrium if you keep this in mind, you will be in a ZEN and safe zone, and free of all little devils and temptation that is around us. Stop, analyse yourself, and ask you, do I lost control? Am I obsossed? Can I live without all this? I will still happy if I on't have all this? Is it just a hobby and a FUN hobby, or it's a drug? if you try to justify yourself and convince you too much, you already answer your question. Don't forget, life need equilibrium... sorry I leave you here, I'll go to play outside

I'm not happier because I pocess a gen watch instead of the rep, I ran to the perfect gen to own, and I sell, and I buy, and sell, etc. . Rep or Gen, we are people here who search for the "perfect" watch to own, to get, to pocess, to love, to identify ourself to it. We like too much watches to be only with one watch or two, or three, it's a hobby, a passion, and we need to feel, touch, look all these watch arround us, sometime to MOD them. And the only vaccin against this, is to quit this hobby, and, find another one Gen is not the answer. A watch is a watch, gen or rep. The soul that we think that gen watch pocess, this "soul", it live only in our mind, it is not in the watch itself. I pocess gen, and I'm not happier because it's a gen, I hit a level that now I don't give too much "importance" to gen "spirit". I wear watch because it's fun, it's a hobby, it look good, and I can share this hobby and passion with others. I quit timezone because I find people there give TOO MUCH importance to there watches, battle Omega vs Rolex, a battle that never end. Here, I never saw that, we like watches, period. We don't try to defend ourself, our life style through brand name. I pocess a Gen Fortis, and, nobody around me know this brand, I certainly not wear this watch to flash a brand name. If I like Rolex, it's not because of the name, but because I like the style of the watch. To resume, keep your rep, you already put too much time in it and energy.

One experience, bad experience. I ordered a PO 42mm I receive a the 45mm. I sold the watch cuz I find too ricky to ship it back the watch to china, shipping fee, etc. Be warn, they are probably drop shipper, so, this kind of business are victime of factory shipper. But Sarah is very nice and can resolve this kind of issue. In rep world, since my beginning, I hit a problem with each "trusty" dealer I bought watches. It's the game of buying rep. Cross your finger, but it seem that this dealer is recommended, like TrustyTime, PureTime, PerfectClones, etc. etc. price is ok, shipping is ok, packaging is ok too. No problem there.

I strongly suggest to find an auhtorized dealer and try it on your wrist, and try both. This is the only way to fix your idea. Some with big wrist find this watch too big, some with skinny wrist find it perfect. It's all about PERSONAL taste.

POrikaa 42mm since a week... the best quality/price ratio that I never seen, not the perfect rep (some flaws), but "fun" to wear.

I always doubt that glass is sapphire on the POrikaa, for $100, the price is way too low to be a sapphire. For AR coating, you are right , the "ususal" lite don't have AR if I remember.

Lite version is still available. POrikaa is one of them, WatchEden, Trustytime, etc. when you see a PO around $100-$130, it's for sure the "lite" version. BTW the Asian 21j it's a very good mvt by the comment that we can read. And it is very precise too. if I take care of the night position, for exemple, DU (dial up) it gain little sec, if I put CU (crown up) it loose secs, by playing with night position of the watch, I can do -4/+4 after a week. Pretty amazing for a mvt that cost $15-$20!!!!
